Atomic Games is a video game company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The company is known for developing war games, including the Close Combat series, the controversial Six Days in Fallujah, and the upcoming XBLA and PC download Breach.

Six Days in Fallujah Controversy

Not long after the announcement of the project, many war veterans in the United Kingdom and the Stop the War Coalition peace group criticized the game for glorifying the horrifying events that took during the Second Battle of Fallujah and for making a game about an ongoing war. Though Atomic Games president Peter Tamte stated in an interview that the game "is not about the politics of whether the US should have been there or not" and that the developers were merely trying to tell the soldiers' story, on April 27, 2009 publisher Konami announced it would no longer be publishing the game.
