It is a whole lot better since they kicked that lying, racist turd John Howard out of office.  It is getting a little of its soul back.

I would never want to visit Australia. There are too many animals waiting to sink their venomous fangs into me.

No more than pretty much any other country.

    Not really many serious threats
    - crocodiles/alligators: stay out of their water.
    - snakes: taipan is pretty deadly, but snakes are everywhere in the world.
    - dingos: just keep your baby away from them :(  They are just a dog really.

That's about it.  Kangaroos can be aggressive.  Tasmanian Devils are harmless.  Cassowary could rip your guts out, so stay away.  Emus are relatively harmless.  Goannas are also relatively harmless.

Australia is by far the most poisonous nation in the world. There are more types of poisonous animal in australia than the rest of the world put together. There are millions of the little bastards.

That's true - but I still don't know anyone that's been bitten by anything serious.

I'd love to visit Australia someday, it looks like a beautiful place to visit.

I agree though, the poisonous spiders there are scary as crap.

    pffft spiders and snakes.

SOOO scary. You never find these things, well you find spiders but they are pretty hard to get bitten by.

If the event you are bitten you just get to the hospital for the anti venom, youll probably make it in time. I dont know how long ago the last recorded snake/spider bite death was. You never hear about it.
I always laugh when american media tries to make a big deal out of a rattle snake, it takes like 48 hours to die from a rattle snake bite.

We dont have any freaking cougars or bears. Now thats scary.
