    Bail Prestor Organa was a human native of planet Alderaan. He was Alderaan's First Chairman and Viceroy and served as its Senator in the Galactic Senate and subsequently the Imperial Senate. He was the adoptive father of Princess Leia Organa and a good freind Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Rahm Kota as well as Padme Amidala, Leia's biological mother. He was married to Queen Breha Organa and he was one of the main founders of the Rebel Alliance.

    He was killed when the Death Star destroyed the planet Alderaan.
