My question is WHY THE FUCK IS JUST A GIRL NOT ON ROCK BAND.

I like how GH is being milked, but somehow rockband is exempt from that because is HMX. Because Lego Rock Band, Beatles Rock Band, and upcoming Pearl Jam project for Rockband, and weekly dlc is not milking? Is music games, is just new skins, and new tracks for both series, if you like the genre is good.. if you don't like the genre then do not buy it.

They need to suck it up and make one of these that lets you import your own tunes. Yes they would loose out of dlc sales but they could make it up with dlc packs of new singles. Im sure record labels would pay to get the latest emo-tastic single into these kind of games.

The only good thing about this is that this shit will be kept out of regular guitar hero. Goddamn indie/emo killed World Tour for me.

First, 3 of the 5 songs are (or soon will be) in Rock Band.  Second, why the hell isn't this stuff DLC?  Third, I'd love to meet a 4-man Guitar Hero band that hot.

My sentiments exactly. People think that some how HMX is god, and only that company should be making games. Lego Rock Band is just as much a milker as Band Hero. "

I see your point and you're making sense. The key point, however, is that the Rock Band games are stellar titles. The GH games since RB launched have all been clones or crap. The bottom line is people actually want more Rock Band. That's why we don't consider it milking. Additionally, by the end of this year, there will be 15 GH games on the market, not counting the ones Harmonix made. There might be like 5 Rock Bands. 

EDIT: Also, Traveller's Tales, the team that does all the other Lego games, is in charge of Lego Rock Band. It's Harmonix's brand and they're on board, but TT came up with it and is mostly creating it...from what I heard...on this site...and others...

Guitar Hero already is Band Hero. It's packed full of lame pop songs that will probably be in the full Band Hero game. They could just as well call it 'Guitar Hero: Slightly less satanic' or whatever.

So what is next? Music Hero? Instrument Hero? Heroic Hero?

Guitar Hero 1,2, and 80s: Awesome games, made by Harmonix. Sure 80s was overpriced, but whatever
Guitar Hero 3: Harmonix is gone, isn't as good, but is still pretty fun to play
Guitar Hero Aerosmith: Lacks much replay value and songs, but it's only $20 now and is like Guitar Hero 3, so whatever
Guitar Hero World Tour: Band is nice, but the drums kind of failed, but if you were lucky to get working drums, the game could be entertaining
Guitar Hero Metallica: The Best Activision has done so far. Take most of the big problems in World Tour and chuck them out the window and replace the songs with Metallica songs, and there you go
Guitar Hero Smash Hits: Not much different from Metallica besides the look and the songs
Guitar Hero 5: Looks interesting with it's new features and it looks to be better than World Tour
DJ Hero: A little skeptical, but the gameplay looks interesting and the songs don't look too bad
Guitar Hero Van Halen: Looks like Guitar Hero 5 with Van Halen songs, which isn't necessarily a bad thing
Band Hero:...WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd Hero release in 3 months, with a 4th in December...that has to be some kind of record.
