Spore? Really? Is this just some joke, or what? I haven't played myself, but I was under the impression that there aren't any "characters" just your creatures and randomly generated space creatures, not to mention him being a real person. Feel free to correct me, I just want to know for sure.

yup. thats pretty much it. My friend got it after buying into the hype and was pretty disappointed. He sold it on Ebay a week later I think.
