strange, ive never experienced anything like this myself but a quick search of the internet lead me to a page where people where having a similar problem, apparently a call to xbox support helped with the issue. something to do with DRM
Move it to a USB drive, start it from there, then see what happens? I honestly don't know if that works, but it's worth a try if you really have to call Xbox support. Or maybe remove the hard drive then put it back in, start, see what happens, etc.

that USB trick was also one of the tips on the xbox360achievements.org forums, seems like people have had some success with that
