Just from having watched a few of the Building The Bastion videos (and I haven't even seen them all), I already love the ideas about the game. The way you are building that hub world throughout the game, and the things Greg Kasavin has said about it makes me feel like Bastion is made by a guy who is trying his hardest to put all the things he wants to see in a game into Bastion. And that lines up pretty closely with what I want to see too! Next week can't come soon enough!

Bastion is a story about a Kid, his hammer, and a world gone all kinds of wrong.
I'm unreasonably excited for this game.
My excitement for this game was crushed the moment I heard it wasn't coming to PSN.
Goddamnit, why? D:

I'm extremely indifferent for this game. The game looks ok, the design, look, and sounds spectacular but not for me.
I'm about right here too. I mean it's been really cool being able to follow the team and everything, but I am still not quite sure. If it was loot driven I would be salivating all over it like the OP though.
Dude that art probably looks sexy as hell with the PC version though. All that 1080penis.
Following the game through it's creation as made me much more excited for the game. Even if it isn't the greatest, I just want to see how it turned out. Besides, the team is pretty great.
To be fair, I haven't checked it out as thoroughly as I should, but I'm buying it, even if only to represent for my boy Greg K. I feel certain it'll be really cool. Dude has skill.
I am not overly excited but I do really like the art style and think the narration could be really cool, I am not sure about the gameplay just from watching but hopefully that will be good as well. I am picking it up day one anyway so I am sure to find out!
The combat in Bastion feels really excellent. Before I played it I was only seeing it on Building The Bastion, and during that time the narrator seemed like the biggest selling point for me. I wasn't expecting the game to play as great as it does.

Its coming to PC download later this year. It's not graphically demanding either, so I'd assume most people can run it.
I talked to Amir for a good ten minutes at PAX East (while standing in line for Lord of the Rings, which was next to Bastion) and he was clearly excited and extremely invested in the game. For that alone, I'll definitely be buying it.
I'm on the fence on this one in regards to fun gameplay. I mean, the things I've seen and read about it so far seems interesting but on the other hand, so did all the stuff I read about Red Alert 3 which Greg was involved in and boy... did I got burnt on that one.
Still, I'm going to get a copy or three just to support the developers whether it's good or bad. They seem to have put a lot of their souls into it and that's what matters to me when it comes to games. Just like with DNF. ;) *ducks*
You heard it hear first. Fans of Oscar worthy stories rejoice. Bastion is the Citizen Kane of video games.@Getz said:
I'ma buy it but I don't see it being a masterpiece or anything. I'd love to be wrong though.
You might be.

I don't see the point. It'll be a one week wonder and that's it. I really hope I'm wrong, but I think it's just getting hyped because it's, 'summer of arcade'. When I think of 'arcade' I think of actual games that were played in cabinets in places like Casino's and Chuck E Cheese's back in the day. Not this.
From what I've seen and heard it seems to be a competently made game. Lots of games are competent though. I want this game to have some serious quality to it because GregK and team deserve a nice payoff for all of their work. I'm waiting here with my money bro, just give me a compelling reason and I'm there.
We walked away from our jobs building major franchises for huge publishers to make original downloadable titles for people who love games and their loved ones.
I like this part, it's on the Supergiant Games website under the team section. It reminds me of the times when my dad would show me secrets in the Mario games and Super Mario RPG. Good times...
Maybe this game might be a candidate to play with my future kids?
I think it was totally awesome that the team put all the effort into getting the Building the Bastion stuff made. If for no other reason than they showed GB and the GB community love, we should be willing to show a little back. I think the art looks amazing, the narrator sounds neat, and the Bastion mechanic seems like a fun idea. Game play looks like a blast, too. I'm buying it day 1.
