Turns out the thing's pretty delightful. Swarms of enemies and a variety of attacks and weapons remind him of the old days. Pretty surroundings and that fellow narrating seem like they're pushing for something new. He'll have to play it more to render a proper verdict, but an hour or two of play left him mightily impressed.

I have to agree with Gamtrailers review, the narrating style doesn't really mesh with the art style (which is fantastic) for some reason. Perhaps it'll grow on me, but initial reaction is that it just feels off somehow. Combat is also quite nice, very fluid and easy to get into. Definitely getting this when the paycheck hits.

There's a lot of western influenced things in the game. It fits.

I can't stand the Narrator. Nice idea, but I just don't care for it. Game is awesome besides that.

I got cockblocked when I saw my balance was 1060 points. I'll buy it in the future though, the trial gave me a good first impression.

Don't hold your breath on a PS3 release, do you not own a 360?

As for the "commentary" remarks in some reviews i find it completely fitting, it made the game better IMO.

Waiting for PC Version. I couldn't give less of a fuck about 360, and I've owned over 10 of them......

Game is incredible. Maybe my favourite game this year.
 
And the narrator does a great job, imo. 

@onarum: Not necessarily a wizard but an elder of some sort. A voice that perhaps is less in-your-face. But as said, it's possibly one of those things that grows on you and I've merely played through the trial.

@NeverDave: While that may be true, it's more about the overall tone of the art style and that doesn't really scream western.

Also, I'm not saying the voice acting is bad in any way.
