It's okay, Brad.
" @Lard said:I can tell you haven't seen his posts in the other threads." Yes, but Batman isn't gimped. And I am planning on playing it. "What do you mean gimped? "
I am being serious here. Either this guy is like 11 years old, or he suffers from some sort of mental disability.

Some people just apparently live to troll." I am being serious here. Either this guy is like 11 years old, or he suffers from some sort of mental disability. "
I have not said one bad word about this game, in fact I think it should be GOTY (that or Demons Souls)
What the hell is your problem?
" @Lard: How is Uncharted gimped? I haven't played it I am just curious. "He thinks that just because they had multi-player in Uncharted 2 the single-player campaign was gimped somehow. I don't agree.
" @MAN_FLANNEL said:Umm... the fact you feel it deserves GOTY and you haven't even played it doesn't strike you as odd? Well I suppose it wouldn't or you wouldn't be thinking that in the first place. I think Halo Reach deserves GOTY, myself. I haven't even watched the trailer and I don't even like Halo, but someone I know says it looks siiiiiick.

" I rented Arkham Asylum from Netflix. Even though it is definitely a great game, I just don't think it's as good as InFamous, MW2 or Uncharted 2. "Netflix? Am I missing something?
Arkham Asylum is the best comic-book based video game I have ever played, and that's including MUA, Spiderman, Wolverine, etc.
I don't think it's GOTY material given the quality of other stuff in 2009, but considering what I EXPECTED it to be, it was fucking incredible.
I replaying it on hard now because it's that awesome.

Hahaha....good CSI:Miami reference XD
" @Lard said:It deserves GOTY because it's a complete game, not a half-assed release with unncessary modes or an incomplete release with half the game as DLC." @MAN_FLANNEL said:Umm... the fact you feel it deserves GOTY and you haven't even played it doesn't strike you as odd? *That* is why it deserves GOTY.
And using "sick" as an adjective makes you sound like a retard.
Uncharted 2 deserves GOTY because it's a complete game, not a half-assed release without any sort of competitive or co-operative multiplayer."It deserves GOTY because it's a complete game, not a half-assed release with unncessary modes or an incomplete release with half the game as DLC. *That* is why it deserves GOTY. Oh, and "sick" is an adjective even when you use it the "proper" way. Not knowing that makes you sound like a retard.
See how easy it is to make stupid arguments?

Let's pretend you have a sandwich. That sandwich comes with a pickle. The pickle doesn't even touch the crust, there is no pickle taste on the actual sandwich. The sandwich is awesome. The pickle is also good, though you don't like pickles so you can't appreciate it.
Does this a) Make the pickle + sandwich combo a worse meal than an equally good sandwich by itself or b) mean that both of these options have, at worst, equal utility to you?
I made this analogy about food because I realize fully that I am feeding a troll.
" It depends whether the pickle was supposed to be in the sandwich while it was being made and whether I am charged for that pickle or not. "But who decides whether it was meant to be in there?> the customer, or the person making it?
But at the end of the day it is the restaurants choice as to what is included in the meal - saying that you deserve something to be included in the original is NOT how it works, and if that's how you view something as trivial as games- you are gonna shit yourself in the real world matey
" Um - Dragon Age Origins? Fallout 3? Prince Of Persia? Assassin's Creed 2? Resident Evil 5? Those were not complete games. That was stuff that was either deliberately held back or locked on the disc (RE5)"Fallout 3 and Assassin's Creed II are complete games. The Fallout 3 DLC was developed after the main game was finished, and had they put those memory blocks in ACII, the game would probably have had to be delayed. In the pre-DLC days that content would simply not have been released at all, making for less complete games.
Fallout 3 had ending changing DLC. That game was not complete.
Assassin's Creed 2's DLC is coming out at such a short period after the game's release, there is no way that it is not content that has been held back.
Those games were incomplete.
@OmegaPirate said:
Um - no I specified my example of unlocking data as RE5. Read carefully, please" All of those gb's of data i downloaded from fallout 3's DLC- was already on the disc? "
" Fallout 3 had ending changing DLC. That game was not complete."They changed the ending because people complained about it. When did people complain about it? That's right, after the game's release.
@Lard said:
"Assassin's Creed 2's DLC is coming out at such a short period after the game's release, there is no way that it is not content that has been held back."The fact that it's coming out shortly after the game's release indicates that they didn't have enough time to finish those portions of the game. A delay would hurt the game's sales, so they had two options:
- Just cut the content.
- Release it as DLC.
Of the games I have played this year I would give AA the nod for GOTY. It tells a great story. The atmosphere and visual style are spot on. Overall the experience beats any Batman movie I have seen by far.
And then of course, there is the game play. Which is just, for lack of a better word, tight. And fits the theme of the game perfectly. 2 examples
Batman doesn't kill - check
Batman needs a button mapped to "jump" like super mario -hell no
InFamous was a good game. I still play it from time to time, but come on. The game play and especially the combat is nowhere near Batman level. Actually I wish they had pvp in AA. That would just put it way over the top.
Uncharted? Meh. Played the first. Got bored. Too mainstream Hollywood. Zero attitude. Doesn't interest me and is too run of the mill to deserve GOTY.
Demon's Souls? Yum, my personal fave of the year, but a niche product and way to hard effin core to play with the big boys.
So Batman AA seems like an edgy enough choice with lots going for it. I would have liked to see it win.
" @HatKing said:" @Lard: How is Uncharted gimped? I haven't played it I am just curious. "He thinks that just because they had multi-player in Uncharted 2 the single-player campaign was gimped somehow. I don't agree. "
Some people just don't understand. MW2 set the example for telling people it's O.K to have a short crappy campaing if the online is good. Alot of games seem to follow that logic, but games like MGS4 and Uncharted 2 are strong in both areas and people just can't accept that.
