PC retail availability

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGH

I've got it in my mind that I Am Going to Buy Batman: Arkham Asylum, right? So I call up the local GameStop and...they don't have it. I already know the local Walmart doesn't have it. So I call up the Walmart and GameStop in the next closest town...No luck.

So I look on their websites. Walmarts website does not list the PC version of Arkham Asylum. At all. Does walmart not carry the PC version anywhere? Ok, I check GameStop website. The nearest store to carry it is an hour and a half away... My next option is GamersGate. It would usually be my first, but after moving out to the country and getting satellite internet...The game is eight gigs and half my monthly FAP threshold. I currently stand at about 60% usage, so that option is a no go.

I need a hug. And a beer.

Steam would have the same issue that GamersGate had. I'll probably end up having to order it from somewhere, but :( at having to spend money on shipping and handling and then having to actually wait for it.

Shipping is free on Amazon on orders of $25 or more.

PC hard copies are getting trickier to get. You have to be pretty good about pre-ordering them (where I live) and even then there's a good chance the Gamestop workers will either ignore the preorder or lose the copy. I've had that happen four times. Shame you can't just use Steam. Try Amazon, I guess.

Amazon should've been his first hope tbh.

I can't have been the only one to giggle immaturely at this.

Anyway, as everyone else said, Amazon will rock your socks and get you this game.

Steam. Simple and effective.

I bought it on steam, your friend can install steam and you can buy the game for him as a gift. There are no shipping fees on steam btw.

So wait, what's wrong with using Steam?

I got it on Steam a while back for $25. Good deal.

@EpicSteve:  Downloading the game would make his internet usage go over/close to his cap.
