Batman arkham asylum just happens to be released on me birthday (august 28) so im in a pickle of wether or not i should pre-order the limited edition from game for £60 or wait and buy it on my birthday depending on reveiws for it. So basically im asking for your opinions based on preveiws and gameplay trailers wether this could be good or if i could be wasting my money on it?

Buying the CE on the PC for £50 and I have to say the game looks worth it in my opinion. Brilliant combat and story by the looks of it.

My expectations for this game have fluctuated so greatly, and so frequently, that I decline comment.

It looks good to me from what I've seen so far. Of course with that being said, nobody will truly know until we get our hands on it. But I intend on getting it at or around release. The videos and trailers definitely make it look promising. 

I looks pretty good and it gets released on my birthday, chances are I'll be getting it.

When do people reckon reveiws will start to appear? Its out on the 25 in america (28 in england which is my home) so atleast for that date

Not confirmed.  Also, people have misinterpreted this latest bout.  Many companies say that they will not allow an embargo break on reviews unless the reviewers are giving it a certain score or higher.  Please do some background research before jumping to conclusions, folks.

Yes, you read that correctly.  I just defended a bunch of Eidos assholes.  Why do I think they are assholes?  Well, because they have failed to offer up a next-gen Soul Reaver or Blood Omen.  They also allowed Uwe Boll to buy the film rights for Fear Effect.  As far as I'm concerned, they are going right to the center of Hell.

As for Batman: Arkham Asylum...I haven't been interested in the game since its announcement, the gameplay footage hasn't impressed me, and the look of the game DEFINITELY hasn't impressed me.  The only impressive part is the casting.

I'll probably get it, and hope for the best. It looks good from what I've seen.

I think it looks like a 7/10.

Why?  I'd say a 9/10.
A recent preview said it reminded them of the Chronicles of Riddick game...on crack.  With more features.

In fact, I'm looking forward to this more than Modern Warfare 2.  The graphics look sweet, it has the chance to be an awesome Batman game, the original voice actors are back, and every preview I've read has been very positive.

I think this will be Rocksteady's breakout game.  Urban Chaos was quite fun (IMO, of course), and they now have upgraded resources, Paul Dini writing the script, etc.  I mean, a lot of developers make so-so games once in a while, and then they make something brilliant.

I hope it is good, I am looking forward to this game.

I'm interested but I'm holding my guns until release, this looks like it could be epic win or epic fail.

It definitely looks good, but looks can be deceiving. I'm still getting it on day 1 though, there's so much potential.

To me, from what they have show it looks great. Though of course there have been times of parts being shown and those not being anything like what a game is. Though I think it has some good potential. Hopefully it will capitalize on that.

This game could very well be the first Batman to escape the curse that comic based video games have had since...well, since forever.  "

I'm pretty sure it will be the best Batman Game so far. Apart from maybe Batman Returns for the SNES. The industry types who have had their hands on it had some good things to say about it. It'll be very average at worst, with potential to be sooper dooper.

I hope this game is as good as Batman on the NES.

I dont know if it will be good, as it hasnt come out yet and I have not played it. Though, I have high expectations.

personally i think that game looks awful and is gonna suck and attempt to be awesome but actually stink
