I'm interested to say the least. I am in the camp of hardcore Nolan fans! It's nice to see him not play the role of lovable rogue for once.

That has to be THE worst cockney accent since Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Which sucks to because I am also a big fan of Nolan North.

Nolan South will never get a job thanks to that man.  Damn Shame.

I can vouch for it being an awful accent but it doesn't disconnect me and I think overall it sounds great. I'm do feel the pain of Mr. South :<

Why couldn't they just bring back Paul Williams from the 90's animated series to reprise his role?In fact why couldn't they just get more of the actors from the 90's series to reprise their roles?That's the one thing I wish they had done more of in AA and what I was hoping they'd do with AC.

I wish this was advertised as "The Penguin", since I came into this thread thinking that Nolan North was playing the lead in a family-friendly animated adventure. Somebody needs to make that happen.

Nolan North is a great voice actor, but I'm surprised by this choice, not that he did a bad job.

Huh.  That's unfortunate, because I don't care for the Penguin's voice-acting from the Arkham City trailer at all.  Even I can tell that's a shitty cockney accent, and I'm American.  Not to mention, the voice just doesn't fit the Penguin at all, quality of accent aside.

I can definitely hear him in there beyond the ''could be worse'' cockney accent. Never would of picked him out if I wasn't told, though. Guy's finally getting some opportunities to show off his expansive voice-list; he's a damn magician.

I guess they think the accent makes the monocle more believable? Except, its an article of accessory people stopped wearing over 100 years ago, so the accent doesn't really make me go "okay it makes sense now".

  Maybe a bit dramatic, but I have a really hard time picturing North as the Penguin, even after watching the clip. Also, isn't Penguin supposed to be a pretty classy gent? As in, shouldn't he have more of an english accent and not a really rough cockney accent? I guess that Rocksteady has creative freedom to do whatever they want with him, but I always thought of the penguin as being more of an upper crust, high society, slightly snobbish kind of villain and not a rough and tumble, Jason Statham-esque badass kind of villain.

I might be pulling mystery information from my imagination, but isn't this incarnation of the Penguin supposed to be a wannabe-classy imitator of a mobster? It seems to me that the accent is purposefully off. He can't be proper in the head seeing as he's got a fucking glass bottle jammed in his eye.
