WHAT?!
I just don't hear it! What?! DAT THUMBNAIL.
I'm interested to say the least. I am in the camp of hardcore Nolan fans! It's nice to see him not play the role of lovable rogue for once.

Why couldn't they just bring back Paul Williams from the 90's animated series to reprise his role?In fact why couldn't they just get more of the actors from the 90's series to reprise their roles? That's the one thing I wish they had done more of in AA and what I was hoping they'd do with AC.
@ 1:00 This is how Penguin should sound:

I wish this was advertised as "The Penguin", since I came into this thread thinking that Nolan North was playing the lead in a family-friendly animated adventure. Somebody needs to make that happen.
Huh. That's unfortunate, because I don't care for the Penguin's voice-acting from the Arkham City trailer at all. Even I can tell that's a shitty cockney accent, and I'm American. Not to mention, the voice just doesn't fit the Penguin at all, quality of accent aside.
I guess Nolan North had to have a slip-up at some point.
I'm very confused by the Penguin presented in that trailer, and the one I'm seeing in the screen grab on that video. Huh.
Looks like the penguin on Titan, not a good look though...What is going on in that thumbnail for real!?
I thought it was ok, sure not great but it's close to Ray Winstone on a bad day (I'm not a londoner but I am an Englishman).
Look how fat The Penguin is, if it weren't for that accent he'd clearly be an American everyman. But he's not a 30-something Caucasian everyman!

A thousand times this (I continue to be annoyed that Arleen Sorkin will not be back to do Harley. Since she IS Harley).
Maybe a bit dramatic, but I have a really hard time picturing North as the Penguin, even after watching the clip. Also, isn't Penguin supposed to be a pretty classy gent? As in, shouldn't he have more of an english accent and not a really rough cockney accent? I guess that Rocksteady has creative freedom to do whatever they want with him, but I always thought of the penguin as being more of an upper crust, high society, slightly snobbish kind of villain and not a rough and tumble, Jason Statham-esque badass kind of villain.
Yes he is,this is from the Wikipedia page for Penguin:
"The Penguin (born Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot) is a DC Comics supervillain, antagonist, and one of Batman's oldest, most persistent enemies. The Penguin was introduced by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, making his debut in Detective Comics #58 (December 1941).The Penguin is a short, round man known for his love of birds and his specialized high-tech umbrellas. A mobster and thief, he fancies himself a "gentleman of crime;" his nightclub business provides a cover for more low-key criminal activity, which Batman tolerates as a source of criminal underworld information. According to co-creator Bob Kane, the character was inspired from the then advertising mascot of Kool cigarettes — a penguin with a top hat and cane. Bill Finger also thought the image of high-society gentlemen in tuxedos was reminiscent of emperor penguins.
Note that in the article it says Penguin fancies himself a "gentleman of crime;" and that Bill Finger thought the image of high-society gentlemen in tuxedos was reminiscent of emperor penguins.
I might be pulling mystery information from my imagination, but isn't this incarnation of the Penguin supposed to be a wannabe-classy imitator of a mobster? It seems to me that the accent is purposefully off. He can't be proper in the head seeing as he's got a fucking glass bottle jammed in his eye.
Did you have to fucking tell us? I would've preferred not knowing..
Now i'm gonna keep comparing that voice to Drake's.. fuck.
