In Arkham City, did they opt to keep the great death screens that vary from boss to boss depending where you are in the story? It may seem silly but this was one little flourish that made Arkham Asylum really pop-out to me, and it would be great if they brought them back.

Yep. There are multiple for everyone but a particular green-loving, cane-wielding maniac, who has like two.

Better yet, story progression doesn't fully dictate it, its mostly what section of the city you're in.
