Developer Rocksteady's return to the Batman series takes place one year after the events of Arkham City. It expands the open world from the previous game and allows players to finally drive the Batmobile throughout Gotham City's streets.
I guess it's nice to have a date. I'm definitely in the camp of "always happy to wait longer for a higher quality release," so if this extra development time guarantees that then no problems there. I'm also still totally into the idea of a bit more Rocksteady-brand Batman.
As sad as I am that it was delayed, I'm happy they're taking their time to get it right. I'm even happier they've nailed down a date. Looking forward to next june!
That is a long delay! Well, I suppose I can wait. I loved Asylum, didn't feel City nor Origins that much, but I'm sure as hell gonna give this one another shot, so take all the time you need Rocksteady!

Batman Arkham Asylum is one of my favorite games of all time it's so tight and well done and I love Batman. Can't wait for this one and hope it's completely done by that time. Keep pre-order bs and DLC out of my face and I'll be a happy bat.
Good that they delay instead of releasing broken game, but this much? I don't think it's just finishing touch they are doing. Hopefully the game will be awesome.
Publishers should really keep their mouth shut when it comes to release dates if they're going to miss the mark as much as they so often do. I guess that it's a shitty and effective tactic of getting people to buy hardware earlier than they normally would.
They've been working on this since City, right? I really hope this will top every previous Arkham game and with the amount of time they had for it, it should be.
On another note, I just recently played Asylum and City for the first time and was quite surprised at how much of an improvement the second one actually was. From reviews and internet talk I always assumed it was just more of the same but on a bigger map.

Considering how rushed Arkham City felt, this is probably for the best. I mean, it sucks we have to wait longer, but if the end product benefits then it'll be worth it :)
Wow makes you wonder what the game must have been like before they first announced the delay. Over 6 months of a delay is pretty huge, have to wonder what caused it.
I know alot of people seem to have been expecting the release date to be around February, which I never thought was going to happen. The Witcher 3 had been set for February for sometime now, and with WB Games publishing both The Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight, you'd think they'd try not to step on their own toes by releasing two major games so close to eachother.
June's a good date, too. Having such a big game release during the summer can be great for me to just pour hours and hours into it.
