Ok Not Good
Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate is a Metroidvania Puzzle Platformer with some light action. I say light action cause between a hand full of boss fights and very few amount of enemy encounters there is barely any action to be found here. The Games main story is a quick and breezy 5 to 6 hours. Im currently heading around blackgate going for the Platinum trophy a feat i estimate will take me another 2 to 4 hours of exploration. The puzzles in in Batman AOB are at times confusing the game never lets you know what all the tools batman has can do and the game often switches what they can do when the game will randomly decide that a batarang can open a hatch that explosives cannot. The game looks pretty good on the Vita and runs well too some enemies look muddy and textureless but Batman and the areas look very nice. The animations however are very stiff and awkward and at times ruined some fights and boss encounters for me. I found the story some what interesting but the the pace of the story was very slow even for the short game. All in all batman AOB feels like a safe play when the vita could of handled a full 3D Arkham game what was delivered was a 2D platformer one not as good as many others on the system. I enjoyed some of what AOB had to offer but in less your a hardcore batman fan your money can be spent better and cheaply elsewhere.
