    Return to the Pacific Theater in this simpler, downloadable, console-exclusive sequel to the massive World War II first-person shooter Battlefield 1942. It was later shut down on December 2023.

    who else wants a battlefield 2143 released on psn and xbox live. 
    i loved 1943 and would definitely buy a remake of 2142, if it was given the same treatment.

    I wouldn't mind a re-release I guess but I never did get into 2143.

    @CylonHunter: Absolutely dude. I love 2142. Titan has gotta be the most involved multi player game-type ever. All the weapons mechs all feel very balanced. I'd love to play a 2142 on consoles or PC.

    Battlefield 214 2 released in 2006. It wasn't really popular.

    There is none atm... at least that we know of

    2142 was pretty terrible. The objectives and the different leveling mechanics threw off the entire game. No, bad idea.

    Sure. I don't have a great PC. So if they release it like they did for 1943 on PSN and XBLA. I'd probably buy it.

    there isn;t enough nostalgia for 2142 to make that work. very few people actually played it despite the fact that it was a battlefield game. It could use the frostbite engine though.

    That's not true.  2142 had a lot of pretty avid fans and a strong player base for a few years.  It simply wasn't as popular as BF2, and a large portion of the players coming to it from BF2 didn't like it as much, some of whom were pretty vocal about their disappointment in it, so there is the misconception that it did poorly when in reality it was still well-received by a lot of people.
