Some EA guy wrote on his twitter that you wont get banned or anything for changing your VPN.

Game is awesome so far and I've only played like 20 minutes so far.

Ok guys. It looks like it wiped out our old Giant Bombsquad, so I just created a new one. Please search the platoon name "Giant Bombsquad" and Join! I kept our old clan tag name as well which is "GBSQ".

Runs really smooth on my 460gtx oc'd with everything high.

Takes a few more bullets to take down people since the beta. But that could be because everyone is a medic and there are aid packs every 10 yards.

Can you tell us more about this Korean VPN trick? Also dogtags are up and there are some pretty sweet ones :) I have a dinosaur on my dogtags!

@journey Find a vpn program, eg. flyvpn, mask your ip with a Korean one. Change your system clock. Run release date check, then return all your settings back to normal after BF3 has been unlocked.

And yeah the dog tags are unlocked.

crash7800, the North American community manager, stated in a reddit thread that getting banned for this is "highly unlikely". He's just a community manager working on a contract, but he does seem to be on top of his game.

Only for trying to buy stuff outside of your regions store. You can activate games and play them using a VPN, if you switch back to your original IP address before your regions release date your game files are deleted as it still thinks your are trying to preload the game.

Guys, this game is preeeeeeetty good.

Not sure why you guys are so paranoid about it. You're not altering any files and bought legit copies. I don't really see any grounds for being banned because you played it one day earlier with the Asian release.

If they would ban everyone that uses VPN or Proxies, they'll ban like a milion users, I would think they would not get in to that shitstorm..

I'm under the assumption it's at 12:01 AM in your time zone. My guess is they determine your time zone based on your public IP address.
