" All I heard when listening to that trailer was the Terminator theme. which is good (as well as 64 player multiplayer and a lots of vehicles and stuff) "Having 64 players isn't really that big of a deal. It's a let-down, from what I was hoping. The last Battlefield had 64 players and that was six years ago. Maybe there's some reason that 64 is "optimal", but it seems they could have increased it.
" Teaser trailer :( "This. Hopefully Battlefield 3 will be the game that breaks me of my unhealthy COD habit xD
Did you ever play the Battlefield games? The most urban they were got were towns with buildings in them. Most levels in Bad Company town were as urban as a farmstead. I mean, if you call the occasional neighborhood of buildings "urban", then I imagine you should just play something like Operation Flashpoint instead." Urban, why has it always to be urban? Bad Company, Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, Battlefield 2, Medal Of Honour. I. Am. So. Sick. Of. This. Urban. ****. Just make a new Battlefield 1942 and you have bought me in. Oh, it's just me? Ffuu... "
What an awesome, awesome teaser. I really like the way the Battlefield 3 title flashes in tandem with the heavily-distorted Battlefield theme.
Did NiN make that teaser? Totally sounded/looked like it came straight out of a Nine Inch Nails show. Which is awesome, of course.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this game. When they started talking about "taking on Call of Duty" I got worries, I'll admit. I just hope it's not too much like Bad Company. And I love the Bad Company games, I still play 2 online. I just want a proper Battlefield game.
I've put off "modern multiplayer focused" FPS's this gen because none really interested me beyond UT3(2K7) and Killzone 2. I was pretty impressed with BBC2 though, and haven't really found the Call of Duty style to be much fun w/o vehicles. This is the first time i'm actually kind of excited for because of vehicles and 32V32. I will probably suck, but it feels better knowing 31 other people can pick up the slack instead of 7, 11 or 15 others.
Badcompany 2 was amazing, I always wanted more types of tanks, boats, choppoers and so on in it. I can't wait for battlefield 3 as I am sure it will be amazing, I just hope that it is good on the consoles too, I'm sure that they will make it work well. My guess is 32 or maybe 48 players on the console versions.
It's only a teaser trailer but you guys have to admit, it got us excited for the game and I can't wait lol.
Screw the competitors, Battlefield is the best. Hopefully you fly the jet like you fly planes in BF1943, only Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.
