In my opinion, this was absolutely genius. What do you guys think?

From all the demos of BF3 it seems like they are going for the whole Generation Kill feeling by humanizing the soliders instead of making them nameless robots. I guess EA is taking a page from Rockstar by copying HBO to guarantee a hit. It's smart because it's the proper alternative to Call of Duty. I can't wait to play it.

It's a trinket the main character's son gave to him. The voices you hear in the background at the beginning and the big TO DAD written in crayon should convey this. It's a part of their attempt to immerse you and make you feel like you're playing a person, not just a nameless, faceless soldier.

Shit will not go all Super Mario Bros The Movie at any point.

There was a 4chan thread, where everyone complained over a lack of dinasours in MW2 when asked why it sucked by Activision. When BF3 came out it had a dinasour in it, to humour 4chan or more specificallly /v/. To amplify the proof he posted a tweet aboout the dinosaur being in game.
