A 460 is considered on par with a 6850? Or are these just suggestions of different DX11 cards?

Looks like I'll need to pick up a new graphics card to fully enjoy it, though I presumed that. I have a GTS 250.

This may be obvious to a real PC gamer, but why is the disc version 5 GB bigger?

my 3 year old rig meats the recommended, those are not steep at all. you could get a $600 tower that would meet those needs.

I have a GTX460 but seriously doubt it will be able to run BF3 like was shown at E3. I imagine 460 will be able to run Medium settings with 2x AA at 1080p. 
 
Hopefully, Nvidia's Keplar chipsets should be out around the same time as BF3 which will make all current cards kind of irrelevant anyway.

Pisses me off that several websites are getting a massive boost in traffic just because they made up some requirements. 
 
First http://bf3blog.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/ made it up and people believed them because they called themselves a 'blog' 
then  http://www.gamersmint.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements-revealed posted it because they thought it was an official website 
and then http://www.gamefront.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/ posted it because someone else posted it. They also didn't check the source.

My ATI 5850 will still be great.  That card has done me quite well.  So excited to run this on my machine.  Hope the gameplay is as beautiful as the graphics.

Guys, it is false.

Thats expected, I have a quad core and 4gb ddr3 ram but my 8800GT is starting to show its age, Still gets me by with anything released today and most games at max but newer games like witcher 2 only on high and i have noticed i have started to tweak down settings.
 
I have been thinking about building a new system for awhile now but I am pretty sure if i just bought a very good graphics card i would be good for a couple more years.

Now all I want to know is Skyrim's requirements.

Can't run it since my video card's memory is shit.  I guess it's time to update soon.

Typically you need to take recommended graphical specs and at least double it if you're looking towards running it at max or near-max settings, so I'm willing to bet that later performance benchmarks will show GTX 580~HD 5970 will be necessary for 60fps on Ultra. 
 
The storage disparity between disc and digital seems a little strange though.

In the clear, here's hoping SLI and crossfire setups get some love.

My hardware is basically on par with the recommended. Guess that means I'll have to upgrade some parts soon again.

I would think the specs would be higher than the ones posted, Will be interesting to see what they are when they are released later on in the year.  I am also going to need an upgrade.

In other news, my PC is now completely, 100% utterly outdated. Upgrading it would cost so much money now. Guess it's 360 for me.

By the way, these might be inaccurate. The real requirements have not been announced from Dice.

Edit: I seem to remember some DICE guy saying that during E3 .. Can't find the link though.
