God - I'm so fucking curious about it...

I'm no big fan of KB&M for Battlefield games (a controversial preference I'm sure). So this is really exciting for me. Specialized BF3 peripherals might allivate my issues with standard KB&M Battlefield gameplay on PC. The global CM dude 'Zhint0' at DICE teased on twitter about 'how we're gonna love this'... whatever it is. Hopefully it's some kind of 'all-in-one' Human Interface Device like a gamepad, just even better suited for BF3 on PC. Come on E3! Reveal all BF3 secrets!

What do you think it's gonna be?

Keypad with specialised keys for BF3 and macros.  You amaze me with your crazed views on Gamepads.

I could go for a new mouse for BF3. Let's see where this goes.

The audio in that video is completely F.U.B.A.R, just damaging to listen to.

Hoping it's some insane 'all-inclusive' Human Interface Device, somewhat like a gamepad, doing all elements of BF3 gameplay better than any other HID - even quicker and more precise aiming and turning than a mouse. Something so crazy and awesome, I can't even imagine it.

Like inventing the wheel, just for gaming. Once we see it, it'll make perfect sense. Everybody goes 'facepalm' and thinks, 'why didn't we think of that sooner'! Dreaming the impossible dream. Always!

It's more about everything else but aiming. Anybody can aim with a mouse. Even those who can't hit a mountain when shooting a gun with a gamepad. Aiming/turning is fine for everyone on a mouse (even with its limited ability of natural panning before having to reset mouse/hand - which can become a problem in turrets/mounted guns). In direct comparison to doing the same on analogsticks - the mouse is more competitive, but less natural and challenging (and hence the less rewarding gunplay experience).

Either way, this ain't about my preferences and more about Razer's magical BF3 device worthy of a own homepage and trailer. Hopefully it is awesome. I'd be so down for something better than a gamepad or KB&M with Flightstick.

Cool, looking forward to seeing what they have on offer. Could be a head-set also.

It boggles my mind how much people spend on mice and how often they apparently upgrade. My last mouse lasted me 9 years, and I still would use if the scrollwheel would not have broken. I too buy in the upper price range, but I do not get all out crazy.

A special lightgun peripheral that you can shoot at your screen and have 8-bit dogs fetch the ducks you've shot with it.

on the real though, it's probably some Flight stick since, BF3 is bringing back jets and other air vehicles.

I'd put my money on a more expensive Deathadder with a BF3 logo on it. And a different colored Black widow keyboard. Pretty sure that's exactly what they did for DA2. Luckily the deathadder and black widow are great kb/m, but it's to bad i already have them :(

@Wuddel: Is it really that hard to understand? People like newer, shinier shit.

Razer is okay, I'm hoping it's no gamepad though.

Just custom paint them to make it look like BF3.

A gamepad would be moronic, my guess is kb + mouse, potentially with a small joystick attached to the keyboard next to the numpad or something

KB+M controls are fine for flight, just put roll on a/d and turn on the mouse!

Still, I guess some sort of specialized control would be kewl, but I'm guessing that yes it will be a keyboard and mouse with fancy lights. Fortunately, I am in the market for a new mouse to replace my badass but old Laser Mouse 6000.

Edit: I just listened to the audio of that trailer. Who thought it was a good idea to distort the already distorted BF3 jingle?

I bought a $130 PC gaming headset from them at one point and it broke within a month- do they actually make quality products?

@TooWalrus:  I vouch for their keyboards, but that's about it.

their other stuff seems more about the looks and comfort, less about quality and longevity.. I hear their mice break often
