Being all about tickets and K/D is the most mainstream as online multiplayer gets. If it has to be there for the audience at large, it has to be there. I don't mind it being there. It certainly will be wicked fun with BF3's assets. Still more of a Rush and Conquest guy myself. Hopefully BF2142's Assault Lines will be back too for a more focused Conquest experience.

I agree with your concern. I can already see a day when the only servers you can find are death match servers.

'Operation Métro' sounds like we'll be seeing a Paris map with some underground CQC bits in a Métro subway station added to the largescale warfare mix. Awesome!

Goddamn it, being such a BF3 nut that i'm onto all the news outlets 24/7 makes these threads pointless to me. I haven't had a BF3 thread on GB surprise me in months :/

This is what I'm worried about. And what was wrong with squad death match? I thought that was a great twist on death match...I always loved the fact that BF was objective/team based.

Death match will not take away any audience from Rush and Conquest. If anything it will just be a gateway drug to R and C for noobs.

@SeriouslyNow: Have to agree. Adding more modes only strengthens the game. Why would anyone be upset there adding DM??? DM's not really my style either(still fun), so guess what? I just won't use it. That simple.

I agree as well. I got uncomfortable when i learned a main-series Battlefield game is gonna have run-around-in-circles-shooting-nonstop mode (TDM), but then i was like, hey, a BF3 TDM is like COD for COD fans, only with better visuals (and better everything). So it'll please those who are too impatient and superficial to enjoy a long-lasting conquest mode  they'll get dumped in TDM, we'll run in the glorious conquest, everyone's happy :)

Lookin' forward to seeing more on BF3.

Even though we could probably still jump into TDM to boost our stats.
