    This is in regards to the PC version of Battlefield 3.

    When I first tried playing BF3 with my crossfired ATI 4870's I noticed that I was getting a black border around my monitor, while I could play the game at 1920x1080 it was squashed and looked degraded. Well, turns out the problem was with the connection to my monitor, that being a DVI to HDMI cable. When I used this cable I had to set scaling settings within the Catalyst control panel to use my monitors full screen, problem is even with the latest Catalyst drivers installed Battlefield 3 wouldn't scale properly. Solution? I noticed that my monitor has a DVI port, I used that instead and it solved the problem, I wish I just tried that in the first place, lol.
