The GB twitter should stop posting this shit and stick to video content so I can pretend bs like this doesn't exist on the site.

UPDATED: Is This A Leaked Screenshot Of Battlefield 3?
Wow, was this really so convincing that it was worth posting? I believe this was debunked on Gamespot's forums before it was even posted here.
" @HandsomeDead said:The difference is that the video Jeff posted was intended as simple entertainment, while this is something that held little interest even before it was debunked. 1 screenshot of Battlefield 3 looking a lot like Bad Company 2 with some minor UI changes isn't really news, and wouldn't seem to spark any interesting debate beyond "is it fake or not?"Please tell me what the difference is? One could actually be considered news, because rumors are news despite what you think. While the other is just pointless spam. Both people are posting things as news articles, one is allowed to get away with spam, and the other gets yelled at for literally anything he posts. "" @CL60 said:
The fact you can't see any difference is troubling. "" Love the people saying things about Brads journalism, yet when Jeff posted a video of a girl saying Cattackalysm as news it's fine xD. Love this community so much. "
"Oh wow haha, shows how good it looks then.
this was already proven it was fake
Oh thats BC2^^ "
" @HandsomeDead said:How thick are you man. One is obviously a joke, one is a picture Brad thought could be a Battlefield 3 screenshot, potentially news. You think just because they're on the same site, they're the same thing...or something? Oh man that's brutally bad logic...Please tell me what the difference is? Why was this posted? GB don't usually post news before other sources unless they have insider information, such as with the bizarre creations stuff.
If someone were to look at it who played a bit of bfbc2 it is obviously not real, and even if they hadn't it does look like a gun has been stuck on...
@Brad. Did you not do research before you posted this? Very bad work dude. Dont post random crap you just find on the internet.
And do not turn around and go " Oh internet" This is you messing up. Admit it and say sorry.
This had bullshit written all over it. Simply put, no one outside of maybe Naughty Dog is capable of that kind of lighting and breadth of animation (all three of the soldiers appear to have different running animations). The lighting is the real giveaway, especially considering the developer's track record. Plus you think about the probable release of BF3 being a year off, there's no way they'd be that far ahead by now.
This reminds me of Madden target renders being called gameplay stills.

Same! this couldn't even try to fool me, and if it was real i'd be horrified, i dont want Battlefield 3 to be like BC as much as i like BC." Yeah, I was gonna say, that doesn't just look like BC2, it IS BC2. "
" @HandsomeDead said:I know you want Giantbomb to be a no fun zone, but if you can't really tell the difference between a funny little aside to mark an upcoming release date and yet another unsourced, rushed, poorly written and false post that anyone who wasn't interested in simply getting as many posts out there as possible would notice, then I don't know what to say. Please tell me what the difference is? Giant Bomb, one of the reasons I love you is that you usually dont post rumor and speculation stuff. Please leave this kind of crap to Kotaku.
" UPDATE: No, this is not a leaked screenshot of Battlefield 3. It's a fake created from this Battlefield: Bad Company 2 wallpaper. Oh, Internet."
No, you should do some actual research instead of just copy and pasting shit like a Kotaku hack. Theres no excuse for this sloppy rubbish.
Do you mean an FMV? Because it's definitely in-engine. Just looks like a gameplay shot taken with a free-roaming camera. If run on a PC at ultra settings, I almost guarantee it looks that good. Your assertion that only Naughty Dog could make game that looks like that is, frankly, a little silly. And it's not three separate running animations, it's two characters doing the same running animation and one doing a side-stepping animation." @Kyle said:

" It is painfully obvious that that is is BC2. "
Exactly. The HUD looks like a MOD, and the grey-scale everything else may be photo-shopped so people don't recognize the level easily.

"True...I knew it was a Brad Nicholson joint just by the headline before I even read the story...
