I think the best part about Battlefield 2 was it wasn't just Russians vs Americans. You had (Including SpecForces) U.S, MEC, U.K, China, Insurgents, Rebels and Russians, EU is included to with the now free DLC.
What different factions, and how many do you think would appear in Battlefield 3? Will we be doomed to Russia vs US? Better yet, what do you think about unique weapons for each of the factions, unlocks and originals?
Fuck, I hope they have different weapons. I remember the Spetsnaz and the Insurgents, MEC and Rebels all had the same weapons. That was dissapointing as fuck.

Battlefield 3
Game » consists of 15 releases. Released Oct 25, 2011
Battlefield 3 is DICE's third numerical installment in the Battlefield franchise. It features a single player and co-operative campaign, as well as an extensive multiplayer component.
What factions do you want to see?
this is a good fucking questions
I DO NOT want to kill anymore Russians, Arabs, Russians, Russians, Arabs, or Japs
Chinese is good because its old-school Battlefield and they havent been used to death
And create fictional conflicts in these countries :
- South America => Cuba or Venezuela ?
- never-used-before Asian countries like... Turkey ?
- Europe => Sweden or Italy ?
- Africa => Sudan / Zaire / Niger ?
(God damn the world doesnt have enough races for some diversity in a fucking shooter!)
we need new races in these shooters. create fictional conflicts in these countries and give us new faction flags and languages and races... no more russian and arabic.
Well I want the American forces there.
British SAS from BF2 was awesome. Love British military lingo.
I don't mind Russians or Arabs but I'm tired of them from being in most games lately.
China is a nice one, possibly Korea.
European NATO forces going full force. Doesn't have to be very realistic in my book.
A south American force is also of high interest to me.
I don't care which ones in particular, as long as more than two can duke it out at a time on a map.
I kinda like fake ones formed from many real countries like 2142 had the Pan Asian Coalition (PAC). But the English VO option needs to keep the accents instead of just being replaced with the native English speaking team's VO.
Nazis are the best enemy to shoot ever but don't fit in a modern setting, I have no reason to hate Russians in this post Cold War world so they're out, random latin american militia is just weird, even though MW2 and BC2 decided to make them enemies, and OPFOR is overdone.
I liked fighting China in BF2 though. They need to be in there. Maybe an enemy PMC or something?
America vs... America! Because you know, SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content.
" @Ahmad_Metallic: It's kind of weird to have countries like Sweden to duke it out with the PLA isn't it? "actually i was talking about US versus all the countries i listed.. yes, im saying create a fictional war between the US and Sweden :P that'd be cool to shoot swedes as the bad guys, only for the sake of diversity ! we'd learn what "roger that" and "frag out!" and "we're losing this battle. start fighting or i'll find someone who can!" sound like in swedish :D
i got nothing against sweden, its the sexiest country on earth ^^
Egypt vs. Israel in a modern day version of the Yom Kippur War with a battle across the Suez Canal. Would be interesting as Egypt deploys an odd mixture of modern U.S. and Soviet weapon systems (M1 Abrams, F-16's, Mil Mi-8's, AK's) while Israel deploys some unique weapon systems including the awesome Merkava Mk IV.
Russian and American armies are a given. I would like to see a different Arabian army approach than BF2, instead of MEC, let's have a real collation that does exits in the real world. Saudi Arabia is what comes first to my mind since it does have a solid Military Firepower.
Other suggestions would include Turkey, Iran, it all depends on how will DICE set the idea of a global scale war and their locations.
On a side note, the voice acting of the Arab MEC Forces was horrid and linguistically incorrect. Doubt they are going to fix it but it's worth noting.
" instead of MEC, let's have a real collation that does exits in the real world. Saudi Arabia is what comes first to my mind since it does have a solid Military Firepower. "that sounds pretty sweet

"if i had to name 3 games where the Arabic voice acting was as genuine and real as it gets, they'd be Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell Conviction and Battlefield 2 !
are you kidding me, bro ? first time i played Battlefield 2, i spammed those arabic commands for several minutes because they sounded so real !
"olqeyat qonbola" CHECK !
"Shukran" Check !
"a7tajo ela mos3ef" check !
etc..
Also, the commander voice that kept shouting and encouraging and shit. when he said "Innana na5sarol m3raka, ebda2 el qetal wa2ella edtararto le2eejad sha5sen qadir 3ala al qetal" THAT WAS THE FINAL BLOW <3
So why exactly do u think the arabic in BF2 was bad ?

Here's the thing, I don't think it's bad as much as being somewhat out of tone to a real battlefield situation. The examples you mentioned are great on paper, but when spoken they tend to come out without energy or motivation, that's my only complain. Also, some sentences that the UAV lady speaks are grammatically incorrect. I can't remember which but they really sounded weird when I first heard them :p.
Well, we can already guarantee America is in it because well, Americans might cry if they don't win at the end. That and they tend to like starting wars. I guess the only real discussion here is who the enemy will be. Judging by the hint at "multiple unexpected fighting locations", sounds like it will be USA vs Rest of World - which seems accurate.
the attitude and enthusiasm required in the voice and speech for certain commands were quite off, i'll give you that.
Also, i hated that stupid UAV bitch. worst arabic line in the game
here's to hoping Battlefield 3 will have better tones in the voices !
" @Jayross said:MEC is the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition which is the most memorable enemy in a Battlefield game ever (Battlefield 2)" MEC, NATO, Russia, China. "NATO is US, what is MEC? "
only armies that make sense to have the tech on said maps.
i dont wanna be playing as insurgents with jets or crazy brazilian militias with jets
oh please no faction specific weapons, anytime i play a game that has those i always prefer one team over the other and get all bummed out if im on the team with the guns i dont like
64 players, Huge maps, And ... wait wrong thread.
Americans Vs Terrorists
Or some other name 4 Americans.
