If you happen to jump into a tank or Infantry fighting vehicle as the second gunner would you mind just not randomly shooting in the sky/walls/whatever non-target? :) If you have something real to shoot - go for it. But shooting puts the vehicle on the enemies map... so.. hrmm.. yeah... maybe not signal we are there till there is something to hit. :)

also, spotting is pretty amazing too... when you are shooting at something, hit that Q key too ^_^

I had a dude in my squad today that did this every time he got into a secondary spot in my tank. He would just unload the machine gun at nothing. And with in seconds I would see the warning for incoming attacks. I eventually on the fourth or fifth time just got out, placed c4 on it walked away and blew it up.

Can i also add to this list support players who don't drop ammo boxes. No my jumping up and down in front of you and standing right next to you is not me trying to get intimate with you. Rather i would really appreciate it if you would drop some ammo for me. You even get points for doing it. What's not to like?

@mister_v: Or the guys who play Assault and don't drop med packs/kits. I've seen a few times where there will be couple of dudes standing around an assault guy waiting for him to start handing out the healing, and he just runs off.

Also ... I know you are a Recon and you really like high places. But please don't take choppers just to crash them on some roof. Especially Scout- and Attack Helicopters.

Spotting is something that will eventually come real natural like, as long as you keep doing it. Nowadays the first thing I do when I see an enemy is spot. Helps with long range kills too.

@sterling: @mister_v: LOL. I'm having the opposite issue of seeing people asking for Ammo and having to chase them down and throw it at their heads as they don't wait to be resupplied. Crazy how people still don't know/care how to play BF games.

@sterling: My assault loadout doesn't include med packs. I have the defibrillator and the grenade launcher, though I've considered changing it. Going full medical as an assault is just sacrificing too much, though, unless you're in a real tight squad.

I harbor strong hatred of defenders who try to defend objectives from behind the objectives, like that's a thing. Obviously you need to instantly push past the objectives and try and establish a stable frontline between the enemy and the objectives. Common sense going over the head of a sizeable chunk of the BF4 playerbase.

Players shooting thin air for no reason are a nuisance, but not far as painful to me as brainless defenders.

It pisses me off do much! In a tank getting the jump on other tanks is the most important aspect of tank on tank fighing, when someone is highlighting you on the mini map so (everyone!) is aware where you are it fucks you over!

Also why are so few gunners intelligent enough to put on motion sensors as an upgrade! Every gunner should always have this!

It's so much fun driving along in a tank when my gunner starts firing at an attack heli drawing it's attention... grrr your doing minimal damage if any, stop giving away my position this isn't an AA vehicle!

I know how to shoot down choppers effectively with the HMG. Don't tell me what will and won't work, thank you very much! D:

If you are going to play online, use a headset. I can't stand getting stuck in a tank with someone who won't listen or can't tell me what the heck they are doing. Shooting in a given direction doesn't get your attention, jumping doesn't either... so what will it be? Pistols at dawn?

Let 'em know.

Generally, when I jump into a secondary seat in a vehicle, I fire off a shot or two to let the driver know I'm in the vehicle. Been a few times when I've jumped in and the guy driving just sits there not looking a seating list. I also Spot before I start unloading rounds.
