    PC version suffers from a Teleport-Spawn-Hack since today...

     
    Gangbusters. Professional hackers selling hacks ruin games. Seriously. That's out of fucking whack.  
     
      
        
     
    While it might be fun once, in the long run it would drive me mad. At least now we know why DICE held back their server files from the public. To prevent this from happening sooner. I'm so glad I'm playing BF:BC 2 on consoles. I really don't want to deal with cheaters the way the PC community has to. That would seriously ruin it for me. 
     
    Hope DICE gets on this quickly and stomps it out quicker than it can pop-up again.... who am I kidding. You PC guys are fucked.

    Some people suck so much that they resort to hacks to win or have fun.  Nothing new.  It happens to most PC games.  Although I will admit spawning/teleporting the enemy where you placed your C4 is a new one.

    WTF? Don't single out the PC like that. All of the platforms suffer from cheaters and hackers. It's been proven with MW2.

    There was a wallhack & aimbot out before the game was even released (during the beta)...
     
    It's nothing unusual, hopefully they can patch this one.

    True that. But not to the same extent. Especially the PS3 is more or less hackz free, since the system is more or less 'not yet really' hacked. Overall, consoles are just way less open a system. While it's a curse for the modding community, it's a blessing against hackz and cheaters. The percentage of players who'd even be able to consider cheating with hacks, namely does with modded boxes, are so few, it barely even counts.
     
    Nontheless and whatever the platform - hackz ruin games for everyone. It sucks Mexican donkeyballs. No offense to Mexicans intended, but I take the elusive and mythical Tichuana Donkey Show for a fact.

    You rarely have to deal with hackers if you make use of the dedicated server system.  Favorite and play on Punkbuster servers with good communities and good admins.  Easy as pie.  
     
    Anyway, yeah, hacks this extreme are nothing new, and the savvy player will more than likely never come across them.

    I'm sure it'll be handled soon enough.  Oh wait, this is EA we're talking about.  Nevermind.  They don't do bug fixes/updates.  BC2 has been broken since day 1 on PC, and DICE and EA have done absolutely nothing.

    No he wasn't, but he makes it sound like the consoles is a haven for people that don't want to deal with hackers. All I'm saying is that the PC players are not the only people suffering.

    I have deleted BC2 for a long time now. Seems weird that everyone spawns on the same spot; that's part of the hack? to force the enemy team to spawn on one spot?

    I love (pet peve in reality) how people are all inclusive with their words when they are far few between "no one cares" is a clear falacy considering the people posting on this that are displaying that they care. The sheer fact that people even clicked to look shows that they cared in some semblance. The topic name wasnt misleading in anyway. I deem scientifically that people do care about this topic and that anyone who say otherwise is lying to themselves and misleading the people of giantbomb. (sounds very official dont its)

    I don't encounter many cheaters or maybe I suck too hard to notice. Actually servers with broken PunkBuster and broken-ass PunkBuster itself is a "real" annoyance. Considering my 400 hours of Mw2 I've actually run into quite few cheaters, considering what I hear about the number of undetected cheats floating around. All of them ruin the game, though. 
     
    As a side-note: 
    I do however encounter a lot of people running one-man-shows Mw2 style. That's really annoying ;-)

    Oh yeah the teleport hack, had that happen to me a couple times recently.
    No biggie on PC, just move to another server or the Admin kicks the hacker.
    In  a bit of time punkbuster will catch up and that will be that.
     
    On my way to rank 50 in BFBC2 i've only seen hacks used 2 times total, this teleport hack and I once saw an aimbotter raping an entire server with like 90/3 kd, snap aiming continuously at mobile targets or dudes behind light cover.
     
    while my brother stayed with me for a week on holidays playing MW2 on 360 he used to receive several messages a day about 10th lobby's and saw hackers on a daily basis.

    yeah, this happened to me on a couple of servers.
     
    was freaking ridiculous, but luckily the admins were able to boot the people doing it pretty quick. Once i got teleported and actually managed to kill the hacker.... then he started using explosives :l
