Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the second installment in this spin-off Battlefield series. It has a more serious campaign and a vastly expanded multiplayer system.

They don't, they just wanna make the most of the dedicated servers brouhaha. If I cared about the MW2 dedicated servers issue - which I don't - I would still be more annoyed at DICE for being patronising. Oh *swoon*, Dice have said nice things about the PC, now that it suits them. That's great, now where's Battlefield 3?

I find it really ironic DICE coming out and saying this after how crappy their recent PC support has been. From Battlefield 3 being delayed into oblivion, BF1943 being delayed for 6 months on the PC. Mirror's Edge being a late and pretty half assed port (same graphics outside of the physx gimmicks, bad mouse controls), Bad Company, being Bad Company, and Heroes being the only PC Battlefield game they've given us in over 3 years and being as crappy as it is. This seems more like a marketing stunt than anything. The Dedicated servers thing in MW2 is just a bad design decisions. If they were being "lazy" they would have just left hte online like it has always been which would have used dedicated servers. Nevermind at least Infinity Ward releases PC versions of games on time.

Mirror's Edge worked pretty sweet and PhysX did make a difference. Bad mouse controls? Huh? As for their support, didn't they recently release another Battlefield 2 update, which is what, 4-5 years old, adding support for more modern resolutions, some feature from BF2142, and enabling some of the previously paid booster packs for all users among other things? BF1943, I don't think the bulk of PC gamers that were fans of their games even want that but okay. Perhaps you can understand that DICE doesn't decide when games get released, much like IW doesn't decide that for their own games. And yes, of course it's a marketing stunt. I mean, they're basically saying hey PC gamers, be happy because with our game you get all the standard features! Shame on IW for allowing this sort of thing to be able to become a marketing stunt then.

Just confirmed, PC bad company 2 will feature 2 EXTRA GUNS!!! Nah, its good to see them returning to there PC crowd, might even give hope for battlefield 3

Yeah, exactly. I still have zero interest in BF BC 2 at the moment, I will need to hear what they are even talking about here first. However, the last part of the quotes from Zerk do put a smile on my face kinda. Also, agree with you entirely @CL60, that is exactly what will happen, and it already is.

Anyway, yeah they didn't really say much but if they really do look out for the PC gamers, I'll keep this game on my radar.

For the vast majority of games on the PC (that are also released on consoles), none of those apply. We usually just get the same patches console gamers do, and in some cases the developers don't bother to address the problems on the PC platform at all.

Recently an EA spokesman who had visited dice said something along the lines of 'everything is going well and good work is being done on Battlefield 3'
Good marketing on DICE and EA's part. What they're doing is equivalent to what families do during a divorce. The wife makes all these rules and chores that her child doesn't like while the dad gives ice cream and lets the kid stay up past their bed time.

Because they were offering up the experiment of their single player and new engine to the lowest common denominator to see if it would all work well. It did, and in turn, we get the REFINED version of everything. = D
I'm excited about some new BF action on the PC. I'm really hoping, however, that they don't use that goddamn EA Link/EA Store/whatever the fuck it is bullshit again.
