whats the point of a med pack if we have regenerating health...?
 
in my experince, you can just take cover and regen faster than it takes a medic to run up to you and drop his pack.

Because while the redness on your screen might disappear, you're still not at full health most of the time. The med packs regenerate your health much faster than just waiting.

Med pack makes you regenerate signifigantly faster than natural magics. Also, the med pack is a staple of Battlefield, and one of the best and fastest ways for Medics to level up. As the one benig healed, it's hard to notice the difference, but it's doing stuff.

Well at regular mode it makes your healing significantly faster. But in hardcore where you DON'T regenerate health, without a med kit your visuals will be badly impared when you are critically hit since the screen will be blurred with lotsa red.

yea..ive played the crap out of all the other battlefields, but it just hit me like "WAIT!!! MY HEALTH REGENS!!!!!!!!!!!! MEDIC !?!?!? WHY DO YOU HAVE AN MG?!?!?! WHATS HAPPENING?!??!"

around 20 hours...probably 5 of that hardcore.
 
im not saying medics are useless...it just seems kinda weird that med kits are around with a health regen system.
 
are there other games with health regen that have med kits? (specially fps)

Hardcore Onslaught. Med kits will save lives.

coz med kits will give the medic 10000 total points by the end of the match 
 
but seriously, in regular mode, med kits will help you regain health faster and when in a crossfire, it will help you stay longer  and actually survive the gunfight against the opponent. 
 
in hardcore, the med kit is the most important tool coz you don't regenerate in hardcore (or maybe you do, but very very slowly).  and if you're about to die but you survived, it's very hard to see and shoot when 3/4 of your screen is red.

Now I wanna go play more BFBC2....
