I built this sweet computer two weeks ago, runs everything I've played pretty well so far.
Apparently though, EA would not like for me to play Bad Company 2 on it because it gives me this radical wall of script that pops up if you click the OK button.

I doubt this will help, i recently had some trouble with this game inexplicabley quitting to desktop just before it would load into a match. I checked the forums and everyone has a bunch of different theories and the game tends to do that alot in alot of different situations.
 
Anyway it turned out it was punkbuster, i had to go to the site manually and install that shit and add battlefield to a list, since i bought this game off steam it seems entirely ridiculous that it wasnt ready to go upon install and that this isnt something thats documented at all. But thats what it was.
 
Still, this game is unstable as fuck, i cant view ping for servers, and the play now button always presents me with a server full error. This is on a brand new rig, with all drivers installed.

when do you get it? right as you click the exe or what?

from the screen shot it looks like the game is crashing on the update screen. And those are both different programs, So make sure both are not being firwalled. And try and see if you can get the update somewhere else, like a download, see if that will help get it through.
 
also it looks like it might have to do with the download manager, try manually clicking the games exe in its folder.

I don't know if this is available as an option to you or not, but I guess it's worth a shot. Try right clicking the Desktop icon for Bad Company 2, and see if there is an option marked 'Troubleshoot Compatability'. Go through that and see if you can fix it that way. I know there is such a feature present in Windows 7 Ultimate, but I am not sure about other versions. I guess it's worth a shot through.... right?
