Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the second installment in this spin-off Battlefield series. It has a more serious campaign and a vastly expanded multiplayer system.

I'm a bit iffy about this...

In the Giantbomb interview, he said that the game would be more serious. I liked the first one for not being serious.

I am not getting my hopes up because they gave them a year on two to work on this, and whenever EA rushes a publisher things get fucked up, no matter how much potential the game may have.

See Mercs 2 and LOTR: Conquest, for instance.

I didn't take to the first Bad Company at all. I would like to see a full-on Battlefield 3.

I'm still keeping my hopes up. They're keeping with the same characters and stuff, so they can't be making it that much more serious.

I also, think a full on next-gen Battlefield is the right thing to do.

So would the rest of us, but it seems to be a long way off, if it even ever happens. I don't give two shits about Bad Company 2.

Nah. In the interview, the dude sai they were keeping the humor as well. The game can't have the squad and not be funny at the same time!

Expect the same lackluster AI and weapon balancing issues to appear again in the sequel.

I am really hoping that BC2 manages to capture the irreverent charm of the original, but even if it doesn't, the gameplay of the multiplayer is un-fucking-believably awesome. I think that alone is enough to warrant a purchase.

The first bad company was fun, only because you could completely blow the shit out of everything!

I just want them to add more of a team oriented online, which they are doing. I know they're doing the right things, but I hope they don't rush anything and fuck it up

I enjoyed BFBC's SP on the hardest difficulty way more than on the easier diffs.  I guess the AI was only good there, it made the game fun.

and if they don't have team chat I will be more than angry.  Squad based chat is not a bad idea, but not when you can't talk to anyone else on your team.  When I played as a sniper I would have no way of warning someone else on my team of an incoming tank/enemy.  That really annoyed me.

I loved the first game. The dialogue was priceless in some scenes.
