Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Mini Review

General Description: In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the Bad Company crew again find themselves in the heart of the action, where they must use every weapon and vehicle at their disposal to survive. The action unfolds with unprecedented intensity, introducing a level of fervor to vehicular warfare never before experienced in a modern warfare action game.
The 'B' company fight their way through snowy mountaintops, dense jungles and dusty villages. With a heavy arsenal of deadly weapons and a slew of vehicles to aid them, the crew set off on their mission and they are ready to blow up, shoot down, blast through, wipe out and utterly destroy anything that gets in their way. Total destruction is the name of the game -- either online or offline, enemies will soon learn there is nowhere to hide.

    Gameplay: 4/5

Guns feels a lot tighter than the first installment. Movement feels really responsive but there is collision detection when it comes to running around things or over items. Vehicle controls also feel responsive which makes it really reliable when in a sticky situations. When it comes to everything everything feels right with very little problems.

    Story: 3/5

Story really wasn't this games strong point. There are some rememberable events during the adventure and the characters still have their personality but the plot wasn't well presented. There is a pretty good amount of humor involved including non so direct attacks on Modern Warfare 2 which I thought was really well done. If your a fan of the characters in Bad Company you might still love the single player but don't buy it just for the single player.

    Graphics: 4/5

Destruction of the environment has definitely improved. For example buildings can now be fully demolished. Weather effects really sucks you into the game and makes you feel like your in the battlefield. Lighting is really well done but there are some noticeable shadowing problems when close up. This is definitely the most enveloped battlefield game when it comes to graphics and it definitely shows.

    Sound: 5/5

Bad Company 2 is definitely one of the best sounding games I've played in a while. Sound echoing sounds realistic. Distance between guns and shouting soldiers really help when you can tell how far they are in battle. Another pro that was really noticeable was voice and footsteps which where really well done when it came to certain areas.

    Multiplayer: 5/5

To put this short and simple if you played any Battlefield games in the past you'll know what you'll be getting. This game is all about it's multiplayer. This has the perfect mix of well developed class systems and map designs. Every class matters in this game and the squad system is key to doing well on the battlefield. So make some friends and kick some ass.

    Overall: 4/5

This is a very well polished game. Controls are solid and feels right when in combat. Although there is a lacking singleplayer campaign, mutliplayer will definitely keep you busy for a long time. A  Solid Buyin my book.

(Personal Note: Stop comparing Modern Warfare to the Battlefield games. If you do your and idiot and you need to get that joystick out your ass.) KOOBLA

      The Best Multiplayer Experience 0

Bad Company 2 provides the  best multiplayer experience currently on the consoles. I think it betters every other serious FPS on console: COD:MW2, HALO, MAG etc.    I didnt play BC1 but was always a fan of the series on the PC and I still play Battlefield 2. I was abit skeptical about DICE's new outing on the consoles but it seems my fears were unfounded as the game has blown me away. While it doesnt match the scale of previous installments with only 24 players, but it matches and even surpasses...

Bad Company 2 stomps the previous game in almost every aspect 0

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a strange game. After spending a lot of time with it, I've come to the conclusion that DICE took one main aspect of the game in the wrong direction and took the other main aspect in the right direction. The end result is a game that certainly isn't of poor quality. Rather, it's a game that could have been much more, but wasn't due to some strange decisions made particularly with the single player.  War. Serious business. Bad Company 1 was the first real attempt ...
