Normally a suggestion like this is just like chumming the waters in some forums but I'll not trying to troll here.
I picked up BF:BC after reading the GB review and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. By no means is it a bad game but I've found it to be fairly unpolished with lots of minor bugs / flaws here or there. Anyone else feel the same way?
Battlefield: Bad Company
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Jun 23, 2008
The venerable Battlefield franchise returns for its second console-only outing, this time with a fleshed out single player campaign and a new multiplayer game mode, Gold Rush.
A bit overrated?
I actually never gave the game another thought until I saw Jeff's review and decided to try out the demo which convinced me to buy the game.
What kind of flaws/bugs did you find? I haven't really noticed anything.
Bad Company is an amazing game. It has a good single-player mode, and the multiplayer is amazing. It is the best "modern warfare" FPS out for the 360 (I don't know about the PS3). Thats right, you heard what I said: Bad Company.> COD4! I'm not say COD4's bad, but BC is better; There is so much crap going on in BC. It isn't a perfect game by any means, but it is very good. It deserves 5 stars.
To the thread creator: Try playing the game some more. It will take a while to get use to it and once you get around the flaws, you will be hooked, especially the multiplayer. Overall, it's a very addictive game that give you that feeling of...<oh, i'll just play another game until i'm done> and next thing you know it's 2 in the morning and are wondering where time went?
There are many bugs within Bad Company, especially with the multiplayer, but when you have a persistant stats/ranking system, there are bound to be. Also, any new release will have bugs-a-plenty, it's just the way it is. Game developing is a long, hard process, which surprisingly, most people don't seem to see. (Not directing that at you guys exactly, but you can probably see where i'm coming from).
Yous are all bashing it yet it got 5/5 here at GiantBomb which tells us they need to get their review system sorted out.
"The first time i played the demo I actually didn't like it, but i gave it another chance, now I own the game and LOVE IT!Same here,i loved Modern Combat and was looking forward to Bad Company, but at first i thought the demo was a bit meh.But personaly,i don't think Oasis was the best choice for the demo map.

But over time the bug bit.....the trouble is people compare this with Cod4,so if you are new to the Battlefield series you will find it slow in comparison, which is also the view of some of my friends.
I played the demo and didn't really think much of it. I think it was mentioned in the 1up show that the enemy AI finds out where you are way too easily, and I totally agree. Even if I was hiding, the enemies would know where I was and start shooting at me. Made things very difficult. Personally I'm going to stick with cod4.
I don't feel this game is underated at all, what bugs/flaws are you talkin about? I can't stop playing it.
I beg to differ. Multiplayer is a blast. I guess, if you don't play it online, you will never get the 'goods' of BF:BC. Singleplayer is merely a very elaborate tutorial. At least, that's what it was to me. Clocked in 4d of multiplayer playtime already. It only gets better! Can't stop playing until I get to be the Nr.1! Just pick up a XBOX live gold sub and play it online. It's full of win. I guess, that's what's in those crates... 100% PURE WIN!
yer, i wasnt supper impressed by it. In my review i talked a little more in depth of what i thought of it but the main thing is that it was a bit rough arround the edges but if you go into it with low expectations you will be pleased

"Just one more round". :P

For me, the game is fun, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a "good" game. A five-out-of-five is a bit high for this game, I'd give it four or maybe four and a half. I've only taken a few steps in Multiplayer and I've yet to beat SP yet, but I've not seen any bugs. The games character models look good, but there is an overall lack of variety in both buildings and the way buildings crumble. The strange constant haze that covers the screen is only noticeable in a couple of instances (particular when you are looking over vistas, etc) and the tank drives like garbage. Other then the small flaws that I pointed out, the game is still really damned fun at the end of the day, but just slightly undeserving of a 5/5.
Funny thing: I absolutely 100% HATED the demo. Couldn't stand it. I wrote the game off strictly because the single player portion seemed to have stupid ass AI and barely any enemies anywhere. The multiplayer was something I didn't really play much during the demo, but it seemed too slow for me.
"Gizmo said:Trying to compare a game built from the ground up for PC with use of a 108-key standard keyboard to a game built from the ground up for a console with a controller = fail."It just doesn't have that awesome feeling that BF2 on the PC has..."That's because it's completely inferior to BF2."
