I got a beeta key as well. Currently setting it up. Ill report back with impressions.  
 
Edit 1: No chrome support damn it. Guess I will use explorer.  
 
Edit 2: Multiple failed attempts to join a game. This IS a beta. 
 
Edit 3: Its not bad. Would like to see this on PS3. I mean in japan there are several free MMOs. This seems like the perfect counterpart for the west.

I got mine to, I have gotten into a few games and it's really fun. Not really sure if it feels like BF2 because I never played it (not my time period) but I can tell you it feels like a battlefield game.

 Bad Company 2 does not allow prone, but Battlefield 2 does. So what about this game? Can you go prone?

I just got in too, honestly don't know why Im spending time playing this when I have Bad Company 2 one click away, but I'll try it. 
 
edit: so I played some, and Uh, I guess I cant say anyhing due to NDA so Instead I'll talk about another game Called Eve Online, have you ever wondered what the mutant child of Battlefield 2, Medal of Honor, and Bad Company 2 would be like? Well thats what Eve online is. It aint pretty and im sure ive seen better looking Half Life 1 mods. Its seems to be a step back from previous Eve online games, and lacks the charm of Eve Online: Heroes. Its also Janky as fuck, I will not be playing any more Eve online. (The previous statement is not in reference to Battlefield Play4free in anyway.)

What the hell, I clicked Redeem in the email but it won't load whatever it's trying to load. I've tried it in Chrome and Internet Explorer and I keep getting the same error. What's going on?

This thread/forum should be shut down until it goes to open beta. It's already full of misinformation and broken NDAs.

somebody on another forum commented on how you must unlock everything in BF:P4F. He said he chose the assault class and didn't have grenades, he had to unlock them. The hit indicator, showing where you're getting shot from, is said to also be an unlock. You also need to unlock the ability to fly aircraft. He said he was surprised he could fire his weapon without using unlock points.
 
More and more developers seem to be going in this direction of 'locking' standard features. "Let them occupy themselves unlocking basic content/features, this way they don't ask us for new content all the time". So the developer doesn't have to create and think about new content, they can just put thought into how to lock common things (old ideas) up and how they will unlock overtime; without thinking of new ideas to include.
 
I'm inclined to also think they purposefully leave certain bugs in their games (retail) so that they can be occupied post-release with fixing them. This way people will logically focus on that major bug(s) and not even consider other places of improvement; or if other areas of improvement are identified, the developer will highlight the 'major challenge' in fixing the main bug and that is the priority while other stuff is not - meaning they don't want to look at other areas and their cover is the main bug.
 
It's all about doing less for the money (in a cheating manor).
