I've had fever dreams before but Bayonetta is one of those filtered through another fever dream.

    Some observations:
    - Yes I'm still terrible at character action games. Barely scraped through Ninja Gaiden 2 and same thing here pretty much. Though I have improved.
    - Incredibly inventive monsters and environments, really enjoying the catholic imagery of it.
    - Sexualization of Bayonetta not bothering me as much as I thought it would, instead it's just funny. Which I'm sure they intended?
    - Love the Sega references throughout.
    - Can't pull off a string of combos consistently. I think my brain isn't wired for fighting games and DMC-clones.
    - The shopkeeper guy said "Whattya buyin? I heard that in a game once." Which I loved.

    And finally
    - God of War better amp things up considerably if it's gonna come close to this level of insanity. Same with Dante.
