I really like the game.  Its combat is very fluid and in-depth, but I find the hair magic and foot-guns a bit strange, as well as her appearance as a high class British porn star with 6 foot long legs.  Again, I don't mean to shit on the game as I find it's high quality, I just think the hair and foot-guns are kind of strange and distracting.  Anyone else feel the same?

It may be weird but you have to admit that it's interesting in a way. Personally I think it's really absurd but in a good way.

There is nothing wrong with strange.

Are you kidding? This game is meant to be completely ridiculous, from the fact that she juts her hips out every time she takes a step to the fact that she summons a mother fuckin' hair dragon to consume her mother fuckin' enemies. And you don't like foot guns? Are you crazy, sir? SHE HAS GUNS. ON HER FEET! Man, you need to embrace the crazy because that's what this game is all about.

I find it hilarious. I love it.

I wish I could do that with my hair, it'd be awesome.

I had a boner after playing the demo, I guess that says more about me than the game ;-)

The "hair magic" is really strange. kind of cool, but kind of unnecessary..

As far as Bayonetta's elongated limbs are concerned, the majority of wild acrobatic stunts she's able to pull off would look very odd if she had normal sized limbs. PlatinumGames actually ran tests on varying limb lengths and found that many moves simply didn't look feasible, but when they elongated limbs to the size you now see in the final game, they looked both feasible and graceful. 
 
To think something as simple as limb length in this game opened up so many possibilities for gameplay...

What would you suggest the witches use a a conduit to summon the demons then? Their fingernails? Using their hair lets them continue to move and fire guns while summoning crazy things (not to mention it looks pretty awesome). They actually explain why they do it in the texts you collect throughout the game, which I was surprised they'd go and do as much. Had they not tried to explain it at all, I'd still be cool with it.
 
Linky's already explained the limbs thing to death, but I can't say I found it strange or off-putting. I think she looks great *shrugs*

I dont so much mind the hair/guns. Its the actual hairstyle that bugs me. Its hideous.

Kind of an old topic at this point, but I don't see how this is a big deal to anyone. If people just want to onlook and comment about things like her use of hair/guns/sexuality it really honestly isn't anything to be concerned about. It works in the game, and fits perfectly with the over the top insanity of it all, and its awesome. Its not a game where you need to question things like you are used to, and be like "Okay..that made no sense at all"..you just kinda run with it and accept all the craziness that happens in this game because of how not serious it takes itself. It has a lot of charm to it, I think.

I think if anything that's "strange" puts you off of the game, this might not be the game for you. I mean come on, one of her attacks makes a giant boot made of hair fly out of the sky and crush her enemies!
