New Bayonetta Trailer

#1 Posted by brukaoru (5079 posts) -

I thought I would create a new thread, rather then bumping Rikitatsu's because I see that as more of a "information only" thread. For more information about Bayonetta, check out his thread!

It's a short trailer, but it just made me even more excited!

Since we are getting close to TGS, I'm wondering if they will show this same trailer there? Or perhaps they have a few different trailers lined up? Perhaps even a demo?!

TGS is so close, I can't wait!

"It's not really a trailer at all is it. Still, it looks great, very well polished with great effects, it looks nearly as good as DMC4 is on PC.

I cannot wait for this game, I love the concept of moidering angels."
...I should hurt you for using DMC4 as a comparison. >:P But yeah, it's a really short "reel," I guess you can say. I'm guessing the release date for Bayonetta is Fall of next year, but if it's spring/summer (or sooner), I would be very surprised.

Well, I guess we know that there's gonna be gameplay footage at TGS now... can't wait, I love the way she walks heh :)

"Well lets face it it's is going to play very similar. When PG  showed the game at that SEGA event last year behind closed doors, (the brief one with the pistol heels), game journo's were asking what exactly this game will be about, and apparently even representatives there likened the actual gameplay to that of DMC.  Anyway, I was refering to the quality of the graphics, not the gameplay ;0).

DMC4 on PC is beautiful on maximum settings, it looks way better than the 360 game or the PS3 game on my PC with a unlocked FPS."
Oh yeah, every journalist is comparing it to the original Devil May Cry, as they should be.

I know you were just comparing the graphics, I was just teasing. But I still see people to this day that think Kamiya was involved in the sequels to DMC, makes me want to just slap those people silly! >_<

This is just a poor woman's DMC.

Quite the exception that one is. I still think the original tops it. :P

And DMC was already a poor man's Golden Axe.

Well, SHE was pretty smokin.

That's all I can really say, since that's all that was really shown.

She looks nothing like Dante! if you must make a comparison to a DMC character, you could at least compare her to Trish!

Looks crazy in an awesome way...

I think I might buy this.

It's like DMC's action times azillion! xD The shoe shooting rocks, for sure! Enemy designs look awesome too. <3

uh, I didn't mean literally... I just meant that the moves, the way she mocks her enemies; everything is just like Dante, therefore "Dante with a skirt".

But, since in DMC4 everyone has the same personality I guess it is the same to compare her with Trish.

They're halos, the angels drop 'em when they're killed by Bayonetta. It's the currency in the game, used for buying stuff.

I say Goddamn!

Main character looks like she'll be even more over the top than Dante or Nero, which is an awesome thing :D

Just saw the trailers and it looks disapointing... the voices are horrible too ;V

That chick isnt doing it for me.

Her voice isn't remotely sexy.

I find it all slightly embarrasing as she reminds me of an old lady trying to be sexy but failing.

Amazing!!

It's a chick that has two pistols on her heels that can get naked and turn into a t-rex? Instant win. (LTdaz)

I can't really make any opinion out of this video...it's just way too short for me.

if you are referring to the one in the first post, then yes that is short. Cribba posted the TGS video further down the first page, which isn't very short for a teaser, in my opinion.

I'll reserve final judgement until I play it, but if I had to make a base judgement on initial impressions from the TGS trailer alone, I'd say this game looks pretty stupid.  Dumb characters, DMC clone art, terrible voice acting, and terrrrrible music.  It could be fun to play, but it may end up being like DMC games where I have to turn off the majority of the sound to play it.

Ahhh...I completely missed the second trailer. Just watched it on GT (GV wasn't loading for me) and I have to say that it looked pretty nice and I loved the ending of the video, but like a few others here...I am not a fan of Bayonetta's VA from what I heard.
