Beenox Studios, located in Québec, Canada, was founded in the year 2000 by Dominique Brown and is best known for the games, Guitar Hero: Smash Hits and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.
From 2002 to 2006 Beenox worked strictly on ports. Bought by Activision in 2005, they made their return to working on original games in 2006, their first game being Bee Movie Game. In 2010, Beenox's most popular and successful game, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, earned them the spot as the leading team of developers for all of the future Spider-Man games. They recently released the newest Spider-Man game, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, on October 4, 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Wii. Their next project is the Amazing Spider-Man.

Since it is foundation in the year 2000, Beenox Studios has been bestowed more than 35 awards and titles. They include:
- Company of the Year Award presented by the Quebec Chamber of Commerce (2006)
- Quebec's Best Employer Title (2008)
- Listed in the Top 50 Video Game Developers presented by the Game Developers Research (2008)
