Beer is an alcoholic beverage made from water, barley, hops and brewer's yeast. It is the number one cause of hangovers, poor decisions, and one-night stands in human history, but we always manage to forgive it because it loves us.
I don't really like it either, at least a lot of it I have encountered... Whatever my uncle drinks smells horrible, i am not sure how a human could drink it.

I'm thinking the same thing lol....honestly i love my pint of beer, i really do. But the big problem i have with it is just how fizzy and bloated it can make you feel after a few pints. Its at that point i jump onto the Vodka train and from then on the evening becomes one huge blur of images and feels like some amazing journey until the morning after.....
I used to utterly hate wine, with a passion. Until some time last week i found a bottle in a cupboard, decided to crack it open and man it was actually really nice. So kudos to you Sir i would actually agree with that post, Beer is awesome but Wine can be more awesome at times.

This is very true...an awful wine can taste really, REALLY bad. A good wine can taste quite delicious though. At least beer is beer, I'll give it that. There's a lot more chance when it comes to wine.
Last night i was made to (drunkenly) walk up and offer to buy a lady a drink -before smiling at her, stating i liked cheese and then actually screaming CHEESE! as loud as humanly possible right into her face - all because of lots of beer, and one very short straw.

Yes, that is me, the portrait of the excessive drinker. I have wine at family or religious occasions where it is served, occasionally drink a beer or two with my dad or other relatives, and have never been more than lightly buzzed in my entire life. I've never drank irresponsibly, never attempted to operate a moving vehicle (illegal for me anyway, no driver's license) and I'm well aware of the dangers of alcohol poisoning and binge drinking. I'm a realist. Speaking about alcoholic drinks in such a manner would never lead to an excessive drinking habit. Preaching fear of alcohol simply relegates the activities surrounding it to the shadows, where it is much more dangerous and mis-informed people are much more likely to kill themselves or each other.
