PSA: PC version will be $10 on Amazon.

#1 Posted by hwy_61 (922 posts) -

Starting the 4th of July. It is Steam redeemable, so don't download it from Amazon. Just copy the cd key, and register it on Steam. Don't let Big Bo down.

#2 Posted by DystopiaX (5296 posts) -

Also Amazon sales have already started. R* pack with Bully Midnight club Max Payne 2 etc 15 dollars, syndicate 15 dollars, MW3 30 dollars. Both bioshocks 7.50, etc.

Check that shit out.

#3 Posted by hwy_61 (922 posts) -

Hell yeah, was very happy to see MP3 for $30. There are also some discounted tiles that aren't included in the sale. Picked up Black Ops 2 for $20. Can't wait for Binary Domain.

Give me a witcher discount! Damnit!

I believe they're still trying to work something out with CD Projeckt to sell it on Amazon digitally. Otherwise, keep an eye on GOG, after all, CD Projeckt OWNS that site!

Oh wow thanks for the tip! I'm very closely watching steam for a discount too. But as each day goes by that 40 dollars gets closer and closer to leaving my bank account...
#7 Posted by Svenzon (718 posts) -

Is this for the US only?

#8 Posted by MachoFantastico (4514 posts) -

Binary Domain was one of the more pleasant surprises of the year so far for me. Recommend it.

#9 Posted by A_Dog (743 posts) -

@Svenzon: Yep, but if you just put a U.S billing address into your amazon account you can buy it from outside the U.S.

#10 Posted by wemibelec90 (1567 posts) -

This sale is now active. Doesn't seem to be on the sale page but navigating to the Binary Domain product page will show the price as $10. Buy it!

#11 Posted by Marz (5646 posts) -

oh snapz... getting this so i can party with BIG BO finally.

#12 Posted by Sackmanjones (4652 posts) -

I'm already deep in this sale (darkness 2 syndicate and spec ops) gonna try the demo before jumping into this one

#13 Posted by Djstyles92 (952 posts) -

Welp I just bought it! Thanks!

#14 Posted by Kiri90 (256 posts) -

Was waiting for that deal to go live; I got it too...along with the 2k Strategy Pack. Great purchases! Can't wait to play this story.

#15 Posted by mandude (2669 posts) -

I love buying things without knowing just what they are.

#16 Posted by Zlimness (543 posts) -

That was sweeeeeet! Any more of these with working steam codes?

#17 Posted by Lukeweizer (2618 posts) -

For any Canadians who want a piece of this hot action, you need to have an American address on your account. Simply delete your current address that's on your Amazon account and put in an American business address or something. You may need to contact your credit card company and let them know because they might flag it as suspicious since it isn't your registered address.

#18 Posted by Sackmanjones (4652 posts) -

The controls for pc on this game or at least the demo is fucked

#19 Posted by Ramboknife (114 posts) -

Quick question, will they e-mail the key for the game and I just enter that into Steam? I don't want to mess something up and have it start installing the game on whatever amazon uses and not be able to use the key for Steam.

#20 Posted by Zlimness (543 posts) -

@Ramboknife: After you purchase the game, there's a notice that says something like "Only need the serial key?" I clicked that and got my steam activation key.

Direct Download, or retail? Because we're talking about the DD version.
#23 Posted by Ramboknife (114 posts) -

Ugh, any American's willing to help a Canadian Giantbomber? I tried to buy but it's just not letting me. PM if you'd be willing to help, thanks.

#24 Posted by Marz (5646 posts) -

Someone gave me a link to the game for 20 bucks so I picked it up. So many games to play but I went through the tutorial and man... First off I just got a new pc and really wanted to see the game and holy shit it looks great. Second of all the combat seems really awesome as does the world. Can't wait to get to it

Yeah I put it aside for a couple months but got to it. It's really good once you get into it and not at all as difficult as people make it seem.

I can't see it either now. But I bought it late last year and it shows up in my order history. I guess they took it down at some point.

Play with a 360 controller on the PC and it's perfect. Also, I believe they released a patch that fixed a lot of the mouse/kb issues that it had, but I dunno how successful that was.

#30 Posted by CrimsonNoir (400 posts) -

Just finished it tonight, totally exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth 10 bucks if anyone is on the fence for this deal.

#31 Posted by StarvingGamer (8036 posts) -

Just gonna piggyback on this thread and say if you didn't pick it up earlier, it's $13.59 for the next 6 hours on Steam. If you haven't picked it up yet, you definitely should. It's a fantastic game that deserves more attention.

What's the state of the multiplayer like? That's the only reason I'm still on the fence about purchasing Big Bo Simulator 2012.

#33 Posted by Scrawnto (2436 posts) -

@StarvingGamer: I got it as part of the Sega pack, along with Shogun 2 and a few other things. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I look forward to busting up some robits.

#34 Posted by StarvingGamer (8036 posts) -
@Ravenlight No idea, but I'm going to assume it's pretty dead. I was just in it for the single-player.
#35 Posted by xMrSunshine (360 posts) -
@Ravenlight: Totally dead. Dunno why you'd be concerned about that though because come on, that's not why you anyone would play this game.

It has multiplayer-only achievements. I won't be able to move it to the much-coveted 100% Complete category in my Steam list :/

#37 Posted by xMrSunshine (360 posts) -
@Ravenlight: If that's what's holding you back from playing a good game then just stop playing games because obviously you hate fun.

I totally do hate fun but my primitive monkey brain loves the bright, flashy stimuli that vidjagaymez provide.

I've started playing it, and I dig it. I do find it very weird that the game tells you nothing about the premise - unless I wasn't paying attention. Namely, this stuff I found on wikipedia:

In the early years of the 21st century, global warming has caused world wide flooding, leaving three quarters of the world's cities uninhabitable, forcing the world governments to build new cities above the waterlines, using the ruined cities as foundation, leaving them to rot. With millions dead, robots were used as the main labor force to create the new cities. The America-based Bergen company rose to dominate a very large majority of the world's robotic industries, making America the world superpower.

I was all like 'why is Japan a post-apocalyptic robotland' and I had to google it. It seems like the game has an interesting way to tell a story I guess.

#40 Posted by Marz (5646 posts) -

@RIDEBIRD: well the game sort of tells you that after you beat the intro and get into chapter 2.

I don't know how, but I understood all this by the time I was like 5 hours in without googling anything. It's in there somewhere.

#42 Posted by RIDEBIRD (1230 posts) -

@Marz: Yup, it sure did. I hadn't gotten there yet. But that's like a solid hour in, and I had no idea where I was. And that was the latest of all title screens.
