The third game in the BioShock series leaves the bottom of the sea behind for an entirely new setting - the floating city of Columbia, circa 1912. Come to retrieve a girl named Elizabeth, ex-detective Booker DeWitt finds more in store for him there than he could ever imagine.
BioShock Infinite Maintains Its Streak of Winning Every E3 Award by Winning More E3 Awards
After the mediocre release that was Bioshock 2, Infinite looks absolutely amazing. As much as I LOVED the hybrid 1930's Art Deco/Steampunk style of Bioshock, the turn-of-the-century industrialization/Dieselpunk style speaks to me so much more. It's interesting how both games are so isolated by very different circumstances. I really hope this game rocks.
From the bottom of the ocean to high in the sky (and if you count Systemshock, space and beyond!), I'd love to see them try again with yet a different environment. Middle of a vast desert? Deep underground? North or South Pole? Hopefully, whatever the next game is, it won't be Bioshock Infinite 2: More of the Same.
In the meantime, I'm on the edge of my seat for this game.
How did Battlefield win best Multiplayer? Was it that graphically amazing 30 second trailer? Or did we as the public miss something?
@darkecho117: The winners weren't chosen by the public. They were chosen by game journalists who attended the show and got to play many demos the public hasn't necessarily seen yet.
Huh, I guess I don't remember hearing anyone talk about BF3 multiplayer. Unless they were told not to talk about it. It's just weird since multiplayer is Battlefields strong point and was apparently best of show but the public hasn't seen anything yet.@darkecho117 said:

Oh I know that, I just don't recall anyone talking about it. Seems like DICE made a poor choice in not releasing anything substantial on the multiplayer at E3 then if it was the "Best Multiplayer."@darkecho117: The winners weren't chosen by the public. War isn't an adventure. It's a torture. What makes Battlefield 3 an "action game" and BioShock Infinite an "action adventure game"?
Am I the only one whose puss isn't totally wet for this game? I mean, Bioshock was good in a "not at good as System Shock 2" kind of way. I feel like the people making this game eat their own farts. Obviously. I might also point out that I'm not too big on the Ayn Rand inspiration "Altas Shrugged" super city for super people (white rich people) for the game. I'm very politically opposed to everything she stood for.
BioShock Infinite is a new IP in everything except name. It has nothing to do with previous BioShock titles and really shares nothing period with previous BioShock titles except that the word "BioShock" is in the name. At least this is my understanding of the game. So I'm totally OK with it being called a new IP.
Alex, is Game of the Show the most covered, or the most coveted award? Or both?

Wait, Bioshock Infinite was nominated for best handheld game? Is it coming to the Vita or something?
It is, well, not the same game as the console versions. But the best handheld game award actually went to Sound Shapes.

Nah, I'm feeling the same way. I doubt I'll buy it when it comes out. I completely agree about the first Bioshock too. I loved System Shock and I was rather disappointed by Bioshock. It was an ok game, nothing more.
My new found love for Mass Effect makes me say boo! Mass Effect 3 looked so damn good. Sure what they showed wasn't the parts of ME people come for but I was rather excited to see the game play will be even more fun then 2 was. Then again I was never a fan of Bioshock and thought the first games is way overrated.
