Wow, they are totally undercutting Valve there.

Fortunately I don't care about any of those bonus games too much, and I've already pre-ordered on Steam anyway.

And you also pretty much get the Season Pass for $5, if you so desire.

I don't know if it's a typo, a region specific thing or just that I'm lucky, but it's 3 free games! Luckily I had this pre ordered at sainsburys for the same price, but I don't have xcom. I cancelled my preorder and got this one! Amazing deal, even if I have played all of the others.

Gamersgate has pretty much the same deal + adding a ~10£ store credit on top of it.

I love that they retroactively give you the newer bonuses too.

It's also worth noting, even with the huge bundle you can still get the $14 Cash-Back or $15 store credit.

Already own every single game on there (plus I have the special edition of Infinite pre ordered) but this is a really good deal if you don't have any.

They really want to sell Bioshock: Infinite, you guys.

Amazon has a potentially better deal depending on what games you want.

You get XCOM for free, plus $30 credit for any 2k game.

#11 Posted by Ravenlight (8033 posts) -

Woah, crazy. Already preordered on Steam and own all of the games that are being offered as bonuses. Plus I'm pretty happy with my stupid TF2 items.

But with GMG you get xcom as well, and it's already like $20 (or so, I ain't no American) cheaper, plus 2 more games. This shit is insane.

daaang, thats rad. glad I didn't just go with the Steam deal after all. can anyone say if Civ 5 is ok for newbies to RTS?

I'm starting Starcraft 1 and having a decent time but aside from that never touched one before.

*even better then, thanks! i forgot how to gamez

#14 Edited by asurg (20 posts) -

Civ 5 isn't a RTS... it is turned based. You take your turn, then wait for other players to take theirs.

#15 Posted by Svenzon (699 posts) -

I know, it's fucking crazy. I already preordered it and got my Bioshock 1 and The Darkness 2 keys several weeks ago. Then they tell me I'm getting an extra copy of XCOM too. Already own that game, but I'm sure a friend of mine will gladly take that code. Valve can take their hats and shove them somewhere.

#16 Edited by Wampa1 (592 posts) -

@svenzon: Do you know how people who already got X-COM on GMG will be getting the free copy code?

Not a 100% sure about that, but they probably have some kind of solution for that. You are supposed to get one even if you've already bought it from them.

@asurg: Civ 5 is still a very accessible version of the franchise and moves along fairly quickly If you're at all interested it's worth a shot.

#21 Posted by expensiveham (270 posts) -

@jameskond: Oh, missed that. Thanks for correcting!

Oh, certainly. I play Civ5 already. Just helping to clear up a misconception.

#23 Posted by CollegeGuyMike (381 posts) -

@wampa1: They've said that yes, people who've already bought it will also get an XCOM code, it will just show up on your account's Keys page.

Whoops, meant to reply to @mattoncybertron sorry for the confusion.

Just got my key from GreenManGaming, got a key for X-Com too btw..

Pre-loading...omg.

#26 Edited by McShank (1628 posts) -

Damnit! I forgot about GMG.. I wish I didnt buy it last night on steam. I would love to have got Bioshock 2 instead of TF2 items so I can have the entire collection at one go.

#27 Posted by probablytuna (3442 posts) -

That's a pretty awesome bundle. Too bad I have all but The Darkness 2 and Spec Ops and I don't really want the former.

#28 Posted by Bakumatsu (336 posts) -

Got my copy from Gamefly UK for 35€ with both Bioshocks, XCOM and 5£ cupon. Finished the first Bioshock yesterday and it's a heck of a game (never finished it before and man what a twist). Trying the second one just to see how it is and already pre-loading Infinite. And I'm starting to read the novel. AHHH BIOSHOCK OVERDOSE!!

Pff :(

Site maintenance in progress

Damn it captain, they are still fixing it!

Sorry but the site is currently undergoing maintenance. Please check back soon.

#30 Posted by yyZiggurat (990 posts) -

@medalofmode: I just now clicked on the link too. I hope the deal hasn't expired and is valid in the US.

#31 Edited by jakob187 (21503 posts) -

Too bad I already own all of the games they are giving away with that.

Luckily, I already pre-ordered Bioshock Infinite at Direct2Play for $35. = D

*EDIT* THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS! THEY PUT OUT A DISCOUNT CODE TODAY! I COULD'VE GOTTEN IT CHEAPER! Grrrrr...sneaky Russians.

Anyways, anyone that decides to hit up Direct2Play for their copy of Bioshock Infinite, the coupon code is WWE4QTD1.

#32 Edited by Tearhead (2102 posts) -

@jakob187: How legit is Direct2Play? I got DmC from there, but the site, and how they send you the code, seemed real shady to me.

Dude, you´re pretty lucky, it seems they have some serious issues with sending those out.

I hope they figure this out until next week, I want to preload too !

#34 Posted by zenmastah (834 posts) -

@superfriend:

Yeah, i dont know if they send them out per region or per date or what.

Ive always got my keys well before release though..

I don't think it's a per region thing, but from what I gather looking at their twitter account, they discovered the systems they have in place to send out keys were not ready for the volume of traffic and amount of keys they need to get to everyone for Bioshock and all the bundled bonuses. Hopefully they'll get it all sorted too, GMG is usually pretty good with all of this stuff.

FYI guys, Amazon has kind of matched this, as well as Gamersgate. All the deals vary slightly but yeah, check em out.

They really want to sell Bioshock: Infinite, you guys.

And the next X-Com game by the looks of it.

#40 Posted by Demoskinos (13838 posts) -

Its really weird that they are pushing these crazy deals for a game that already has brand recognition and marketing behind it.

#41 Posted by byterunner (290 posts) -

Soo... Was I confused in that XCom comes with every purchase of the bundle on GMG? If I was right, how do I get a download for it? I only got Bioshock and my other game...

They give you the keys for Infinite and XCom in a separate email.

#43 Edited by ColonelRick (114 posts) -

Bought the game on GMG, got my keys in an e-mail, but when i copypasta'd the Infinite link into the activation box on Steam, Steam did not recognise it....What gives?

EDIT: NVM: They didn't make it very clear that the second line of characters was not part of the Infinite key. Works now :)

#44 Posted by lclay (382 posts) -

Man I just got the steam deal

Should've done some research first...

#45 Posted by Jeust (10334 posts) -

Awesome!

#46 Edited by killacam (1282 posts) -

@demoskinos: I think it's more they're pushing these deals because they want to be the one to sell it to you.

#47 Edited by Humanity (7945 posts) -

I'm kind of curious if I should get this for PC or not. I got Sleeping Dogs for PC because it looked really amazing with the higher res textures. I wonder if there will be a significant framerate or graphical advantage over just the regular XBOX version for Infinite. Bioshock had a very distinct artstyle that I wouldn't characterize as super detail heavy.

#48 Edited by zenmastah (834 posts) -

Are you crazy?
What ive seen of Columbia its full of details!

Also the PC version comes with hi-res textures if you choose to install them so its like Sleeping Dogs in that matter.

Heres some info

i know these sites are using aggressive pricing to try to establish a customer base and it ends up paying off with additiona purchases made, but man i still can't understand how the hell sites like this make any money. i'm so glad they exist though! still wish i got a boxed copy, but this deal was too good to pass up.

21 hours according to steam. bring it on.

e: also big question is if i play hard enough can i beat the original bioshock in time? i just started playing through again as i've never beaten it myself and just got past the lazarus vector part. i really want to dive into infinite right away, and i might be OD'ed on bioshock if i try to beat the original. but it's also been a while since i've actually beaten a game. also i know pretty much everything that happened, just want to beat it/see for myself.

#50 Posted by zenmastah (834 posts) -

Yeah, the games 2K bundled with Infinite is kinda insane.
Cant complain too much though, 4 games with a prize of discounted 1, lol

15hrs to go....hhhhnnggggghh
