@familyphotoshoot: what platform was it shown on did it seem to run ok
Yeah, saying that is pretty redundant, like 'don't drink bleach'
So is it good?
It's good to assume that every retail release game leaks about a week before launch. Basically when it gets shipped to stores it will leak in the matter of hours and anyone with an internet connection and a modded 360/PS3 can play it.
Some games leak way before that like Halo 4 which was out in the wild over two weeks before release, that usually happens with big world wide launches. Generally it's pretty easy to avoid spoilers if you don't go looking for them.
@pr1mus@banefirelord: It looked alright. I'm not going to speak as to any of the story stuff, but the gameplay looked fine. It's a BioShock game. You're going to use your plasmids (or vigors, rather) and shoot stuff. I don't really know what else I can say.
I just hope they can improve on the combat from days of Bioshock.
Hm? I seem to remember BioShock 2 having great combat. Then again, for as clunky and somewhat awkward as it was, I still really enjoyed the combat in the original BioShock at that.
I remember both of them being awkward and really stiff. Enemies felt a lot more like sponges rather than living beings attacking you and taking damage. Also I was never a fan of the medkits as opposed to regenerating health and thought it took you out of the moment when you died and just ran back from the revita-chamber to finish off the last few straggles - it robbed enemy encounters of any sense of urgency.
Bioshock 2 did feel a bit better though. Some of the weapons still felt ridiculously underpowered or the enemies had too much health but it did feel slightly more fluid.
Going to have to avoid every game related thread as I know I'll be spoiled because that's just me! Get Spoiled Chris!
Spoilers!
The lady gets killed by the final boss and the player gets angry and has to defeat him. After winning the lady says something inspiring as she dies in his arms. Then the credits roll.
Bioshock Infinite all takes place in the mind of an autistic child. DUN DUN DUN.
NO NO NO NO NO
it's all inside vincent from LOST's head, a little doggie dream :'(
I think I saw the same spoiler comment ten times before it occurred to me that it was regarding Infinite, I'd thought it was absolute gibberish and came here to confirm people were just leaking it out. I'd completely forgotten the main characters name. Ah, well. It's being posted everywhere there's a comment form.
ALUCARD IS BIOSHOCK BACKWARDS
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Having just finished it. I can safely say the ending will not make sense just by reading it.
How have you just finished it? o_O

My PS3 copy came early. It's kinda a curse as I have no one to talk about the ending with. It's like Virtue's Last Reward all over again.

Well, um, better or worse than BioShock 1? And are there Vita Chambers (or equivalent)?
Also, VLR is awesome ^__^
Honestly, the actual spoilers that I read sound sort of predictable or well... at least some of the beats of it are pretty predictable.
Here are the actual spoilers for those who aren't playing the game or just don't care about being spoiled. SO DON'T CLICK THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW.
Booker ends up being Father Comstock.......this alternate reality booker was created during after the Battle of Wounded Knee. Comstock booker decided to repent for his sins and become baptized, while the booker we played never did so and decided to follow the same path he chose to take.
To repay a debt, Booker gave away Elizabeth for money. There was a tear though in the process which created infinite versions of Booker and Liz through various alternate universes and timelines.
To reverse all of this, and erase all the horrible things that happened in Columbia, the only way to correct this would be for Liz to kill booker.
So Elizabeth drowns booker..and booker seemingly dies.
UNTIL..the ending credit scenes...which returns us back to Bookers office..a fully interactive office, so you can move around and explore and whatnot.
So there's no real clear answer what that in particular means. BUT, it could be mean that Booker was given a fresh start on life, before he gave Elizabeth away.
Or maybe it's some kind of limbo of sorts.
@beachthunder: I'd say it's better than the first Bioshock. There are no Vita Chambers but there's an equivalent that makes sense in context with the story.
@demoskinos: While those are actual end game spoilers, they don't mention the best part of the ending that just makes you go "WHAAAAAAT?"
@bocam: Yeah i just found em' on GameFAQS so I had to go with what was posted. Speaking of the Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat part do tell good sir.
After Elizabeth gets her all her power back, Booker tells her to tear Columbia from the sky. The remains of the city fall into the ocean. Booker then wakes up in Rapture (before every thing went to shit) and things start getting weird. Also, the Songbird becomes the first Big Daddy.
People should go watch the opening to the 1st Bioshock before playing Infinite
