30GB free space!?

Damn! games are getting big.

Recommending a 6950? Isn't that kind of high?

EDIT:

For example, some of the most requested PC features these days are in-game V-Sync and FOV adjustment controls. Unfortunately, given our tight sc—wait, never mind. We added those too!

Almost had me there. Did all that work and didn't include an FOV slider? Oh wait...

EDIT 2: Also, it looks like I'll be buying this game at a store since it's a good candidate for day 1 purchase for me.

I'm very excited for this game on PC. It's not going to stretch the current hardware as much as it could, but it's a good step forward. I just bought a 2GB 7850, so I should be set. I am planning on building a new PC this fall or winter, though, when new consoles are coming out, and games get another graphics bump. :)

Who the hell would play BioShock with a controller? It's an FPS.

#9 Posted by BeachThunder (8872 posts) - 4 months, 6 days ago

So...does this mean the game's actually going to be released?

I'm stoked that more and more devs making sure their games scale well on different hardware and including plenty of graphics-tweaking options.

Plus the website is great:

What’s that you’re mumbling to yourself? You prefer a console controller? Don’t worry, traitor, your secret is safe with us.

I probably would play it on the couch with a controller and TV, so me.

@GERALTITUDE: I have a 480 too, I'm not expecting too much trouble, that thing'll eat up anything I throw at it, for 1920x1080, at least.

@haffy:

Why not get a wireless mouse and keyboard?

#14 Posted by GERALTITUDE (1051 posts) - 4 months, 6 days ago

Glad to hear you say that, makes me question my eyes less. I have the same monitor set up, computer itself probably 6 years old now. Always feel like I want to upgrade but when I play Sleeping Dogs/ACIII or whatever I still feel the games look awesome.

That said, a 2560X1600 set up with one of them newfangled super cards would probably look pretty cool.

Yeah, the whole release is pretty amazingly written. Nearly everything on that site has a tongue-in-cheek, down-to-earth flavor.

I don't really mind playing FPS with a controller if it's single player. Getting a wireless mouse and keyboard just to play on the TV seems kind of overboard when I'm happy enough with a controller.

Fuck me, enough with the gigantic PC games that take 2 full nights to download on my peasant Internet connection !

Seems like a great PC version, tough. That's great news !

Hopefully I can max out this game with a GTX570 and i5. I'm getting more excited for this game the closer it comes out.

That's it? Now I can't wait to play this.

#23 Posted by amir90 (2090 posts) - 3 months, 24 days ago

Is this game unreal engine as well?
My GPU hits the recommended spot, which I think would be sufficient for almost max graphics.

When I was installing Tera a while back it took up over 40gb of space before it finally finished just downloading everything. It was kind of nuts.

@humanity: Its insane to think how much bigger games have become so fast.

Hope internet speeds keep up or Tera 2 will be a bitch to download.
