Bioshock is one of those games that has you in a trance!

Explore the underwater world of Rapture at your peril because something has definitely gone wrong in this magical city. The story is set in 1960, you play as an unnamed character who is travelling over the Atlantic Ocean in an airplane and your plane mysteriously crashes into the sea. You find yourself floating outside a lighthouse in the middle of the ocean and you take refuge inside and this is where you discover the bathysphere thats takes you down to the bottom of the sea to Rapture and your adventure starts there.

The graphics in Bioshock are one of the best for the Xbox 360 and no wonder seeing that they are powered by Unreal Technology the same one used in Gears of War. So the environment is fantastic in Rapture and so are the character models of the common enemy in the city, the Splicers. They are really realistic. I'll tell you the different types of Splicers, there is: Nitro, Houdini, Thuggish, Leadhead and Spider. There are plenty of other enemies such as machine gun turrets, grenade turrets, security cameras and security bots that are released when you get spotted by a security camera and these will keep shooting you for 60 seconds.

Now I will move on to one of the greatest parts of Bioshock that is Adam. This is a substance you use at Adam Vending Machines (Gathers Garden) to buy plasmids that genetically modify your body so you can shoot electricity from your fingertips or pick up big objects and throw them at your foes with Telekinesis. These plasmids are powered by Eve which can be found or bought at vending machines.

This is where I get to the main point of the game. You must fight these creatures who are called Big Daddies, you must kill them and either Harvest (Kill) or Rescue the little girls they are protecting who are called Little Sisters. The little girls go round Rapture with the Big Daddies protecting them taking Adam from the dead bodies of the citizens. Killing them or Rescuing them determines the outcome of the story as you get the maximum amount of Adam by killing them but you can claim other rewards by saving them and only getting a certain amount of Adam from them.

You can also find weapons around Rapture like a Pistol, Machine Gun, Shotgun, Chemical Thrower, Crossbow, Grenade Launcher. There are different types of ammo that can be invented at certain vending machines as well as automatic hack tools that can be invented from bits of rubber pipe or batteries that you find lying around.

Finally, auto hack tools can be made to hack a security camera, turret, security bot or safe or a 4 digit code lock automatically. There is the manual way of hacking though where you uncover tiles to find different pipes and as you are doing that you a blue liquid is running through the pipes that were already laid before you started. You must switch these pipes round to make a path for the liquid to go through to the other point on the other side of the area. There will be different obstacles you must avoid when doing this, I won't spoil it for you.

In other words Bioshock is an epic adventure/action game that has great game play and graphics also a story to match.

Bioshock truly is a memorable creation. 0

You are a man known as Jack, who finds himself drowning in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean after his plane crashes down. However, he is rescued from certain death by the appearance of some sort of lighthouse situated on the water itself. Too weary and desperate to consider this peculiarity for more than a moment, Jack swims to the towering building in a moment of pure introductory brilliance and finds himself in its 1960s-esque interior. Descending down after gathering himself properly, he disc...

      BioShock Review 0

When I thought new Sci-fi shooters began to overlap, I was contradicted after purchasing BioShock. The primary difference this game has (although it has numerous differences to today's shooters) is its emphasis on making decisions. At first when you are given the choices in this game, they don't seem so heavy, but as you play through this game you will see their significance. Despite a lack of multiplayer, BioShock is a very powerful shooter that gamers out there should not miss. The Plot- It is ...
