Here's what I've gotta say: you are pointing out, via screenshot, one texturing issue. One. You didn't post up a ton of different screenshots, and neither did anyone else in this thread. It is a demo, and there have been plenty of times that a demo has hit Live or PSN or elsewhere...even on the old OPM discs and such...and the demo was not indicative of the final product. That is one of the big reasons why demos will usually have a thing at the beginning stating that what you are about to play is a work in progress and may not be indicative of the final product.
To say that PS3 is getting a half-assed port without playing the full retail version of the game is a half-assed remark in its own. Once the game comes out, and if it hasn't changed at all...then and only then should anyone come out of it saying "this is a half-assed port".
Moreover, people must be forgetting that Bioshock is a widely celebrated and critically-acclaimed game, and it was made by a team that is also known for being widely celebrated and critically-acclaimed. Therefore, to honestly believe that they would end up even ALLOWING a "half-assed port" to come out is spitting in their faces after you just finished enjoying the dinner they cooked for you!
Now, stop arguing about your fanboy obsessions of Xbox 360 and PS3 for once and read what you all have written...then realize just how fucking stupid is all sounded.
Yes, you will base your judgment of whether you want to buy a game from a demo...but you should never, and I repeat, NEVER use graphics as one of those reasons when you are playing what is essentially a work-in-progress. I remember back when the first demo came out for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, and everyone was so pissed off because the demo was buggy and had lots of clipping issues, as well as what seemed like dumbed-down graphics from what screenshots and gameplay video had suggested. Once the game came out, it squashed all that shit and proved that a demo is JUST A FUCKING DEMO!
