Seriously, come on. Although it was short, this was one of the best first person shooters I had ever played on the PS2. Visually, it was remarkable, and the gameplay was a blast.

Anyone else think that somebody should make a Black 2? Maybe title it "White"?

I dont know, It was billed as the most intense shooter ever made doing for FPS what burnout does for crashing cars... the difference now is how many FPS games have already notched it up to 11? loooads of them. I don't see how a military shooter like that could stand out from the countless others on the market.

but for its time... kinda awesome.

@Milkman: Conceptually, it wasn't very interesting, but I thought it was extremely fun. Although I was young when I played it.

Black was good for the graphics and explosive potential, but i couldn't stand the fact that u couldn't jump. Plus the story was laughable, to which i know the storyline doesn't need to factor so mucn in FPS's but its a noice addition if it does.

Its attempts at stealth too in some of the levels didn't work out so well either.

But meh, less than average games have churned out sequels before (think dynasty warriors) so there may be one in the making if were unlucky.

I never played it, but I wouldn't call it White. Simply for the reason that somehow, somewhere, someone would call it racist.

Never played it because the boxart just seemed too vague in conveying what it was about. I mean sure guns and stuff, but I dunno.

The box art was a great representation of what the game was about. Guns, explosions, and more guns.

while it was visually stunning for a ps2 game i found it to be a 'by the numbers' fps and pandered to too many cliches of the genre such as exploding barrels. the story was a total mess too.

Terrorist Genocide: Kill 53,597 terrorists. Although you could probably get that in the first 2 missions.

i LOVED black, it was a short, absolutely insane ride. shame there was no multiplayer, but it was so much fun, i would kill for a sequel

Me too, I really LOVED Black, it was one the best shooters on the PS2, and I had a SUPER-HYPER-MEGA blast playing this game.
