A stealthy platformer, grab you guns and your wits

Blackthorne is part of the obscure offering of pre-Warcraft Blizzard. Nowadays infamous for the trinity of game franchises, Blizzare had a few solid games under their belts well before that. Blackthorne is no exception, a platformer at its core the game exceeds the common level of average quality by a slick production and great game design. First of, the game's graphics are brilliant and they were breathtaking for the time. Stalking through the underground caves was a feast for the eyes and on its own reason enough to play this game. The animation was fantastic and reminded me of similar cinematic games such as Out of this World and Flashback by French Developers Delphine Software. The gameplay is very intense, the game promotes slow and steady process. You have to constantly hide and time your actions very precisely, after all, your wits is what makes you stronger than the monsters. The story is very basic and supports the general in-your-face b-movie style of the game, just get the hell out of there and take as many monsters with you as you can !
