A top down shoot 'em up and platformer in one adventure. Velocity 2X is the sequel to the award winning Velocity, and features fast paced gameplay and a teleport mechanic. The heroine Kai Tana blasts, tele-dashes and jumps through interior sections then returns to her Quarp Jet to continue her fight against the Vokh.
Nathan "Rad" Spencer returns with the ability to jump and a snazzy moustache, in order to face an evil general bent on launching a missile strike.
The sixth installment of the Mega Man X series (and the last 32-bit entry in the series), Mega Man X6 has the titular X investigating a new virus known as "Nightmare", supposedly caused by the "ghost" of Zero.
Originally developed as the SNES version of Mega Man 8, Mega Man & Bass became a series spin-off where players can play as either Mega Man or his rival, Bass (with his own unique play-style). Despite being exclusive for Japan, the GBA port was translated and released worldwide.
Mega Man X4 was the first in the series created specifically for Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation. Zero also debuts as a full-fledged playable character with his own gameplay style.
The Ghoul realm is under attack and the warrior Firebrand sets out to save it.
The second handheld installment of the Mega Man series has him (along with his dog, Rush) defeating eight more revived Robot Masters (from Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3), while finding the whereabouts of Dr. Wily (who has traveled into the future to steal a weapon to counter Mega Man).
The last of the NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy.
A genre-defying tale of two toads' quest to rescue their kidnapped friends from the clenches of the Dark Queen. Where Frogger brought frogs to the forefront of videogaming, Battletoads taught children that toads weren't frogs and were here to kick some ass.
A side-scrolling action game in which the player controls Kal, who must rescue hostages from robots. The name of the game comes from Kal's ability to jump extra high.
When a peacekeeping effort between Dr. Light and Dr. Wily go haywire, it's up to Mega Man (who now has the ability to slide under obstacles) and his robotic companion Rush to traverse the universe and defeat the Robot Masters in the third installment of the Mega Man series.
The sequel to Tecmo's classic NES action-platformer enhances the gameplay of the original with new features such as the Shadow Clone powerup and a wall-climbing maneuver.
As Professor Proteus, the creator of the Spondylus Solar System, Robosaurs and Cyborasaurus you must stop the deranged Dr. Brainius from destroying everything you've built.
Mega Man is a DOS game developed by Hi-Tech Expressions and released only in the U.S. Originally intended to be an official part of the franchise, the game was panned for its low quality.
A top down action game, loosely based on the popular 1960s TV series.
Take control of Tom Sawyer and save Becky from Injun Joe.
The evil Dr. Wily is back with eight new menacing creations, and it's up to Mega Man to foil his new plans for world domination! Known for bootstrapping the long-running series, the game also introduces passwords, helpful items (such as Energy Tanks), and the series standard of eight bosses.
Step into the shoes of the ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he goes on a quest to avenge his father's unexpected death.
The Guardian Legend is an action-adventure/top down shooter released for the NES in 1989. It has been called a combination of Zelda and 1942.
Bionic Commando follows hero Rad Spencer as he fights through enemy territory to rescue fellow commando, Super Joe.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is the second entry in the ground-breaking Zelda franchise. This controversial follow-up ditches the original's top-down perspective for 2D side-scrolling exploration and combat. The 2D towns, dungeons and combat arenas are tied together by a top-down overworld.
A 1986 sequel to the popular 1984 shoot 'em up Star Force, developed and published by Tecmo. It was only officially released in Japan.
A sci-fi action-adventure shoot-em-up that requires the player to switch between ship and on-foot combat.
