Japan, I think I love you.

Blazblue, when I first played it i had a problem. I totally 100% blew at fighting games.

My first attempt for this game started on the PS3 version and i lost the very first fight in the story mode. Playing the story mode on the PS3 sucked because it was long and involved alot of reading (its part visual novel after all) So I quit until the vita version was on sale. I tried again and thats when I fell in love.

Im not great when it comes to explaining plot in reviews but in short... 100 years before an evil creature known as The Black Beast appeared for no reason, terrorizing mankind. It was immune to human weaponry; even nuclear weapons were compared to pebbles being thrown at a bear. Six Heroes stood against The Beast. Sometime during The Beast's rampage, there was a calm. During this time, the Six Heroes, who previously had been working separately, banded together to fight The Beast. They taught humans how to use ancient magic, and through stretches in technology, merged the two- it became known as Armagus. During this time, an organization called the Novus Orbis Librarium was created to regulate blahhhh...

ITS JAPAN THEIR STORY'S GET COMPLICATED! If you are interested in learning the plot play the damn game its good! Its set up so you play the major beats of the first game then so on. There is a direct path to achieve the true ending but I just ended up playing through the entire campaign because i enjoyed it. Every character has a Good end, A bad end and a Gag end. The good end is the only one you 'need' but playing and getting the rest is also worth it because quite often the Gag ending is the best ending. I often found my self laughing and playing the gag endings more than once because of how well written it is.

The story mode isn't the only mode, there are challenges that you can play that help you learn combos for each character if you want to learn them better. There is unlimited mars mode if you wanna get your ass handed to you by the A.I. There is also abyss mode.

Abyss is a mode where you play round after round playing harder and harder A.I. Increasing stats and getting abilities. Next to the story mode, this is where your time will be spent. It's fun trust me.

In short BUY THIS GAME. I know my review is kinda half assed, mainly because im still playing this.. I love it. and I want you to love it too. BUY IT!!
